Can you go to the movies by yourself?

HELL YES you can go by yourself!!! I've done it on a few occassions. Last one was to see Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith because my GF didn't want to see it. To hell with her, I went and saw it anyway - twice!

I actually enjoy the movie much more when I am by myself. IT'S MORE EXCITING!!!

And no, I am not a fat and hairy guy who wears shorts year round but I'm willing to learn if the pay is good.

**PLUS**
If you are intrested in any aspect of filmaking then going alone is a good way to get the full force of what you will be dealing with.

I go to the cinema alone all the time.

Don't see why everyone has something against it.

If anything, it's better. You have no chance of you friend leaning over and talking to you. Cracking a joke, asking a question or predicting what happens next. When you're alone at the cinema you simply enjoy the movie. As much as you can anyway, because there's always the chance a bunch of morons could replace your friend louder and more abnoxious than he could ever be.

I enjoy my own company, so I have no problem going on my own. For big movies,

I'll go with the missus, but she and my brother are the only people who I enjoy goin to the movies with, my beother naturally watches films as I do, whilst my girlfriend understands my viewing needs.

My mates do my head in at the cinema unless its a Will Ferrel style movie, but I don't go with them, they don't really ask that much .

I will go to a movie by myself only when I want to see a movie really badly, but no one else will go. Example of this would be The Fountain.

I usually go to the movies either with my dad, a couple of friends, or by myself. Going by myself doesn't really bother me. The only time it did was when I ended up going to the 300 midnight screening alone. You should never go alone to midnight screenings.:csad:

I've gone alone before and I don't think it's a big deal. No different than watching a movie at home alone.

I don't have a problem with going alone, I just find it more enjoyable with company. I can almost always find someone who likes the kind of movie it is.

The last movie I saw alone was Serenity, because I didn't want to sit through some chick flick. That was a damn good decision.

I usually go to the movies with friends and family but I don't have a problem going alone.
