How often you go to the movies?

What plays in to getting you guys to actually go? I know what detracts, but I mean, is it the trailer, is it the media/photos, is it other hype or buzz? What gets you interested enough to really go out...?

I've seen a few mentions of Pan's Labyrinth... that one I'd expect initially most people wouldn't care until it came out on DVD - yet so many are going to theaters? Why?

See... I go about every day to a theater somewhere (I review so I gotta see a lot.)

Depends on the film, Sometimes its the trailer... other times its a review, and there's other times that a friend will recommend it.

Every couple of months is when I go. I only go when I know a good movie is coming out or a movie that I really want to see, but its getting to pricey.

Well at the moment, every 2-3 weeks, but when its like Summer time or March time more films come out so thats when its like every week

Summer blockbusters/Huge franchises are no brainers to go see.
Sequels to movies that I love is a no brainer.
If I'm not 100% sure, the reviews will lure me in. (For example, Happy Feet, or Hannibal Rising for negative buzz)
Trailers also really help, and just sometimes, I'll go see a movie just because of a certain actor. (Tom Cruise in Collateral got me to see it, and it's one of my favorite movies)

The last movie i saw before GR yesturday was Eragon. I selected monthly which is correct for i do go that way when the good part of the movie season heats up. I am a double feature movie goer since my theator is not as close. My next movie will either be 300 or Wild Hogs.

My wife and I used to go every weekend...but lately it's been only if there's something REALLY worthy of being watched at the theater or if we just feel like going out.

Last weekend we saw Bridge to Terabithia...but before that the last movie we saw was Rocky.

It depends on what the movie is about. That's it.

The last movie I saw based on hype and buzz was Episode 1. This was back when I was a Star Wars fan. Then I saw Episode 1 and disowned Star Wars. Since then, I view hype and buzz to be worthless.

I live in a small town.

They only ever get two movie each month, the theater that is.

And often then not they're crap. Sometimes they get good movies, but they're usually extremely late. SoOOooOo....uh....I go whenever there is a movie I want to see, I go. Great place about the theater is that it's usually dead, though. Great place to escape from the daily ******ed ass burger they call life.

One frame is really too short for most people to register. It looks like just a random flash of colour and one full second later the sound will have a weird burst of something alien, or a complete momentary dropout. No, I have integrity. I take pride in my presentation and splicing in pieces of pornography is something that I'd never do.

I have bigger problems anyway. I just got back from a midnight screen test of Norbit and the projectionist who put it together got the reels together in this order: 1, 2, 4, 3, 5, 6. I still have a day to fix it before it hits the sheet, but I also have to track down where my Hannibal Rising print has got to, build that up, do all the ads and trailers.

It's going to be a long day.

Very Infrequently, I still haven't seen a movie in theaters for the '07 year and I do not plan on seeing anything until 300 comes out.
