I've been told in screenwriting that you should keep the name of a character consistent through out the writing. If PROSECUTOR and DENT are supposed to be the same character in this then I think it could be a fake, unless I'm wrong and they're two different characters.

Were you not here when they came out? They changed the names but they're from a legitimate casting site

Maybe the names are changed for the effect. People in the courtroom don't know what's about to happen, but the sides are real.

Yeah the sides make it look like an enforcer for the Mob who does it, probably one of Falcone's crew who had a problem with Maroni taking over, but chose not to commit suicide by implicating him. I still say it would be great if Flass was the one who slipped the guy the acid (filling in for Vernon from TLH). He's already established as a crooked cop with ties to the mob, so he would be in the perfect position to do it. If this is true, then i still think it's Flass who Dent shoots in the end, it would all be so perfect...

Yeah, that's what I think too.

Alright, here's my idea, and I'm sure it's crossed others minds b4.

Joker will target Harvey like he did with Gordon in The Killing Joke graphic novel, trying to make him go insane and thus prove that him and the rest of humanity are only seperated by certain amount of pressure (or "a bad day", as he describes it).

That said, I don't think Joker should nessecaerily be the one who tosses acid at Dent's face, that should still be Maroni, BUT he can still use this as proof for his theory above.

Interesting ...

Nope, I wasn't.
the main characters have aliases in the sides so it's not immediately obvious that they're casting for the dark knight

like using "rory's first kiss" as the title

Oohhh, I see. So Rossi could be anyone. Although it is an Italian name so its either is someone who works for Maroni or it is Maroni.

AMH is Italian :woot: There's the problem of him being a good guy. He tripped and it fell into Dent's face, yes, watertight

he could be a "good" guy in that he agrees to testify against maroni

Has anyone else considered that AMH might be reprising his old role as Brian Ralph Johnson from the Breakfast club?

I am so happy to see the majority agree with Sal Maroni and not Joker!

Phew.

I agree with all the reasons given for Maroni. But I do think that if Joker does it, Nolan will make it work. More than that, Nolan will have a reason why it had to be Joker doing it. The act will advance Nolan's agenda somehow. So if Joker does it, we'll probably all feel OK about it, even though it doesn't seem that way right now (even to me).

It's also possible, I suppose, that Joker is paid by Maroni to throw the acid. That either makes everybody or nobody happy.

I do recall that side where Maroni says "I'll show you hostile". It does sound as if something's about to happen. If not the acid bath, what does Maroni "show", I wonder?

No matter who scars Dent, I'd have to imagine Joker gets a laugh out of it.

The reason I don't want it to be the Joker is because I don't want Two Face to have a weird vendetta against Joker in the DK sequel(s).

I would eventually like to see the two characters have dialogue with eachother at some point down the line, but I would hate to see Two Face trying to get revenge on the Joker.

It's not Maroni that says that

Excuse me, just looked at the sides again - that was Rossi, not Maroni, saying "I'll show you hostile". So, maybe Rossi throws the acid at Maroni's behest, then? Certainly Maroni himself wouldn't scar the DA in front of witnesses in a courtroom, would he? That's what lackeys and minions like Rossi are for.

Well he did in TLH, but the circumstances are way different this time, he's about to get off the hook

But in this version of the screenplay it was said that the names were changed to help keep things underwraps. It DENT was changed to PROSECUTOR, why can't MARONI or JOKER be changed to ROSSI?

I do like the idea though that there is a gangster named Rossi who throws the acid on behalf of Maroni. I hope that is what happens.

for one thing, because rossi and dent talk about maroni in the third person

This sounds plausible to me.

Well Flass isn't confirmed to be in the next movie and I highly doubt that he would be given a major duty like that. Second, Flass has a bigger role to play in getting Loeb out of the commisioner position than anything to do with Dent. Also, my money is on AMH as Vernon Field so who needs Flass. I think that he will be back in the third film when I assume that Gordon will finally become commisioner rounding out the trilogy.
