How should the opening credits be handled?

I'm just saying, just because Alex Ross didn't like Spider-Man 2, doesn't mean you have to not like his work. He is one of the greatest comic book artist that has ever lived.

You should read posts better. I never once said I don't like Alex Ross because he didn't like Spider-Man 2. I said, I was glad he didn't like Spider-Man 2, in that he wouldn't be invited back for future sequels.

I am not a fan of his work. Don't tell me what I should think about him.

I would like to see something really new and original.

RAIMI, DON"T DISAPPOINT ME!!!

Along with a recap, maybe there is some stuff that takes place in between Spider-Man 2 and 3 that they could should.... Maybe.

did we know about the 'artwork recap' before spidey 2 was released......

any chance the 'movie within a movie' is how it will start........could be interesting

I think its going to be like the beginning of the teaser where u see the text on the red and blue suit while the symbiote crawls over it.

When I went to see SM2, I thought it was SM1 for a sec, but then I noticed a different color scheme. They'll probably make it black. I don't really care how they do it, I just want to see the movie. (100 POSTS!)

keep them the same style. This time make black the dominant colour. recap of 2 would be nice. Same music

I would love to see a recap in Spider-man 3, But I hope as the pictures/drawings start to end, the Elfman music plays, but, gets darker and darker, maybe have another composer mixing the Elfman's music to give it a real dark tone by the beginning of the picture.

I don't know if Elfman is composing this or what. Anybody know?

Music is just as important as the drawings.

Chris Young.

Thanks Geoff.

Well I hope they use Elfman's Main Theme, which I'm sure they will. I look forward to hearing the score in April.

They probably will...it belongs to Sony anyways.

I thought Alex Ross's paintings worked very well. It'll be a shame if he doesn't come back. (I think I heard a while back that he didn't want to do it again for the third)

It should (just a idea) have a greeen background and drawings of Spidey 2 and after 4 seconds the symbiote should take over the pics....(just an idea......)

Some Todd Mcfarlene drawings!

That'd be tight! I wouldn't mind seeing Tim Bradstreet do stuff for the opening credits too like he did in the new "Punisher: Extended Cut Edition" DVD.

Yeah, it will be the main theme. It really shows the emotional ride that Pete is on.

and also do u think pete will say a story like he did in the 1st?

Have Mark Bagley drawings recap SM2 for the opening.

Yeah, he will have a story. He did it in SM2 also. He will probably say something like how him and MJ are in love.

I would love to see a comic strip Stan Lee style, then go to different artist rendering of the wall crawler, as we scenes from part 2. Then say when spidey shoots his web, or Doc Ock uses one of his tentacles and it goes outside the comic strip and becomes reality (Sort of 3-D)

the characters start to become the actors, maybe have them breaking away from the comic strip.

I can't wait to see the train scene from Spidey 2, however they do the opening scenes.

Yes, I think Tobey will again be narrating after the credit intro.

I was thinking that it should be something similair to the first (CGI) but instead of DNA and webbing, it should all be silver/dark blue, with bit's of symboite latching onto the titles. And to have McFarlene's drawings in there somewhere would be perfect, maybe fading in and out in the background, storyboard style. Just a thought.
