So Silver Surfer and Galactus get the screw jobby getting lumped in with this garbage instead of getting theyre own franchise which is a shame. It would be so easy to do a Silver Surfer trilogy...heres what my idea was.....

Movie one: The origin. You have all the origin stuff and then the coming to earth. You don't need the F.F. i nit at all just have him meet a blind girl and go fight Galactus. You keep all the Silver Surfer bits from that story. And of course he would be trapped on earth.

Movie two: Silver Surfer on earth. This takes its lead from the Stan Lee /Beuscema run of books where he is on earth and trying to help people yet is scorned and rejected so the question becomes "why did I help them?" in the end he frees himself from his captivity on earth.

Movie 3: Silver Surfer in space looking for Galactus who in fact is dying. Silver Surfer wants his humanity back and we get that amazing issue where he is drowned in the blood of the people he has helped kill.

Thats as far as I got on the third one...there needs to be another conflict in the thrid but couldnt think of anything other than the "I am dying" bit. I dunno. But this trilogy would give us the best bits of Silver Surfer storys.

Yeah...Just have him meet a blind girl and go fight Galactus! That'll work!
:p
Isn't there a SHH Community board for fan fiction?

LMAO, yeah.

Why couldn't you have hired this talented young poster as the writer?

Well, since you weren't hired, I'm not going to see the sequel. :cwink:

Um, what does this have to do with the Fantastic Four sequel again?

errrrrrrr yes lets ignore the actual way the SS was introduced and the F4 altogether and just get SS a day job at the hospital where he meets the blind girl........ANY blind girl and saves the world cos she's like all nice and stuff........:csad:

Well first off it has to do with this board cuz the silver surfer is in the new fantastic four movie....or cant you read? lol
Second...why is Alicia Masters so essential to the Silver Surfer mythos? The point is that a blind woman showed him the good in humanity. Thats why it can be ANY blind girl. Same with the F.F. yeah they were there and all but you dont nessecarrily NEED them to tell his story.
Also this has proven my theroy that NO ONE on the hype boards has actually READ a comic book before.

Why bring up the comic books when you want to alter them completely ? Alicia isn't just some blind girl, her being blind isn't what helps SS find his humanity it's what's inside her that does

1. I agree that you probably don't need the FF to tell A story of the Silver Surfer. In fact, I had thought Marvel originally planned a SS movie independent of the FF movie, but changed their plans.

If you want to tell the SS story familiar to many people, you do need the FF. Six of one, half-dozen of the other.

2. Your theory above is disproven based on the case that I (as a participant on the hype boards) have read a comicbook. I have also read a comic book.

In my opinion.

What does that mean..six of one half dozen of the other?

Either way, it's the same damn thing.

Maybe you should read a comic book. I'm thinking maybe the one where SS comes to Earth and is stopped by the Fantastic Four.

After all, why would SS stop and talk to some random blind girl if he's busy flying around blowing things up? He wouldn't! The Fantastic Four have to be there to slow his silver butt down long enough for him to meet Alicia so she can talk sense into him.

I used it meaning: "Ah, it really doesn't matter", but here's a source:

The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Third Edition. 2002.

six of one, half a dozen of the other

The alternatives are the same: “I can take the bus or the subway to get home; during rush hour, it’s six of one, half a dozen of the other.” The phrase, which is sometimes inverted as “half a dozen of one, six of the other,” is merely two ways of expressing the number six. 1

No offense but...do you? I mean, read comic books that is?

If you did, perhaps you'd realize that the Silver Surfer is very much a part of their heritage and the premise fits perfectly with this sequel. He is not a stand-alone character to just debut out the box right. Mainstream audiences have no clue who he is.

But those audiences do know who the Fantastic Four are...especially since 2005.

I still expect somebody to come out and say the Surfer is a ripoff of that Fro-zone or Sno-zone guy in the Incredibles.

Do us all a favor and go back to taco bell or something

I think there is always room to be worried or cautious around a Fox movie but can you at least wait till you actually SEE something before you bash it? It's like calling an unborn baby ugly.

Dude, I never heard of a ped digging unborn babbies......I dunno maybe there are some in Japan. They're weirdos.

Yeah just saw what I said. I meant it is like saying an unborn baby IS GOING to be ugly when older.

You know who's a good looking guy? Doug Bradley.

Do you even realize how ignorant that reads? nevermind.

Very uncool, dude.
(You been drinkin' some of that Kool Aid yourself or somethin'?)

Jeez, what is it with people slamming other nationalities this week?

See? This is what happens when someone posts an outline of their fan fiction Silver Surfer trilogy.
No good can come of such a thing.

I mean I've got this really compelling outline that I'd love to share (Conjunction Junction engineer vs Predator!) but I won't, for fear of creating just this kind of conflagration...

Jesus. Touchy aren't we. Have you ever watched their porn? ****ing weird
