Since BvS isn't well loved movie even in BvS boards and pessimism, hatred almost in every thread, i wanted to create a new one but positive, creative thread for everyone who has some kind of problems with BvS and DC universe so far.

If WB come at your door and ask you where to go after what happened in BvS to fix DC universe and upcoming movies, what kind of ideas would you give to them?

What happened in BvS is ruining DC cinematic universe at the moment and how to "fix" it? Pitch ideas to make it better.

Rules:
1. Must be attempts to fix errors for DC universe from what happened wrong in BvS in your opinion.
2. Ideas instead of offering who should be replaced or hired. (For example sack Snyder and hire Miller isn't the answer. Let's be creative) Don't be negative or whiny, remember you are asked for a solution, not your hatred for the movie.
3. You have luxury to delay JL or make Batman or Superman solo movies to fix stuff.
4. Rebooting whole universe is not an option. They want moving on from BvS.
5. Keep it short and direct to the point.

(I'm open to change the rules if it'll make it better for discussion. Just wanted to keep it related with BvS)

From dead Jimmy Olsen to murdering Batman, Eisenberg's Lex to dead Superman... You can save them SHH, you can save them all.

Stick to the course. Make sure the people know we're only 2 films in and how Batman V Superman wasn't always meant to be the pay off film, but a platform film. Realize audiences wanted an Avengers style movie , but instead, got a dark and character driven film that set up an entire universe that brought up more questions than answers. Insert a more optimistic approach so the story connects in a logical way when it's all said and done. Understand that fans will be fans and the same ones who said they were done after Man of Steel were back onboard with hype levels the moment Batman turned on his Bat Signal with Superman hovering from a tease at Comic Con. Realize all it will take is for Aquaman to come face to face with Wonder Woman with his Trident and fans will be fans, and be back. These are easy fixes. If you have an entire plan, 2 films won't make or break the foundation. Stick the course.

Have a more focused story with an emphasis on character.

Making the characters likeable would be one hell of a start.

I see and agree but can you guys be a little more spesific what was problematic in BvS and how you would fix it? Think as WB is leaning on to you for how to make DC universe popular? You gotta pitch them some ideas.

For example if you don't like the idea Batman without no killing rule how would you handle it in JL or possible solo movie?

How would you handle Superman's return from dead and how his story should go after it? Is coming from death will change his character, if so how? How's daily planet and Clark Kent will be in the movie after all that?

What's up with Lex? Would you keep him same type of villain, a more cold calculated because of prison time or is there Lex Luthor Sr.? Or just leave him in prison don't tell his story from on.. move on to another villain.

If you think these aren't the problems you see, tell us others with solutions.

Everybody wants better story, characterizations etc. but that's not the point. You are being asked as if DC is on your hands from now.

You can fix it....the problem is that, imo, it's pointless since the damage is already done.

Even so, it's all about the characters....

> Make a Superman movie set before Man of Steel, where you explain why the hell does Clark sees Superman a burden and a chore, as something he needs to do rather than he wants to do it. That should also explain why he doesn't care for humanity to the point of, to save one person, he destroys everything in his path, putting other people in harms way.
> Make a Superman movie set after his reborn, where he FINALLY understands what it means to be a hero, stops wearing such dark colors and lightens up.

> Do a bunch of Batman movies set at his early days (i'm sure they are thinking about it)
> Do a movie set before BvS, where you explain why Batman kills (the movie gives the notion it's because of Robin's death)

Scrap the slate after WW. Build up the characters in solo films. Put them together when the audience is ready for that. Hire a new godfather for the DCU (which was Johns during GL and no one now) and a brain trust made up of DC movie, animation and comics veterans. Make writers and directors pitch any and all ideas to them.

For example if you don't like the idea Batman without no killing rule how would you handle it in JL or possible solo movie?
They already fixed it, it seems. Given the funeral scene (I won't fail him in death) and the final scene with Luthor.
How would you handle Superman's return from dead and how his story should go after it?
I'm not a Superman expert I seriously don't know how to handle his resurrection. They obviously know already. But regarding Superman, make him a guy who delivers speeches on behalf of JL. Make Earth's governments and society interact with Superman and JL not only about controversies and negativity, but also about solving matters, helping people or Earth in general. Superman should embrace his role as hope for mankind and be actually happy to do it.
Is coming from death will change his character, if so how? How's daily planet and Clark Kent will be in the movie after all that?
I guess, being not alone in the world, trying to do a better thing, should positively influence at least his mood.
What's up with Lex? Would you keep him same type of villain, a more cold calculated because of prison time or is there Lex Luthor Sr.? Or just leave him in prison don't tell his story from on.. move on to another villain.
I'd say, keep him out of this for now, but maybe it's good to show the process. How his lawyers try to get him out of jail. I don't mind Lex being this expressive, hyperactive. I fine with it.

Seeing Superman have some joy as he found his flight ability with the large grin was so much fun in MOS. I want to see him enjoying being the hero, even if at the same time knowing there are some struggles that come along the way.

Lex does not need to be silly or quirky to show he is psychotic. Fans have come to love the business corporate Lex that manipulates behind the scenes from his Lexcorp tower :o This version of him, had him running around with a kitchen timer and pushing Lois off the building himself leaving nothing for denial. It was silly. Definitely need to have him be more of a real person that has power, and let him be able to walk into a room with some charisma and a presence.

Let's also see Superman at his best with all his powers. As others mentioned before, he seems to do flight and heat vision. He has some other interesting powers that would translate well visually!
