First shot of Blanchett's character Valka, who is a maverick Dragon Rider who becomes somewhat of a mentor to the group. Chances are she either gets involved with Stoick or is actually the villain.

Saw Cate's character yesterday. Pretty great. This looks fantastic. The first film, like Kung Fu Panda surprised me with just how good it is. The animation and storytelling is Pixar/Disney level stuff. I love that they have aged the kids. Can't wait for the sequel.

Though be warned, the next trailer has a huge spoiler apparently. One the creative did not want to show.

The original was such a treat. The previews and trailers for this bode well for this sequel. This is exactly the sort of adventure fiction that I think is good for kids and young people today.

Well they dropped a pretty big spoiler in the trailer didn't they? Not that I'm complaining. Seems like Hiccup and Astrid are still a couple from that one shot together. The scale looks much bigger this time and that battle scene looks like it's going to be fantastic.
