How will react if Sony continues with Sinister Six, Venom and the female spinoff?

Hope that Sony get their act together sooner rather than later.

For me personally, it wouldn't bother me.
Sure it'll be great to see a Spider-Man movie produced by Marvel/Disney.
Especially Spidey interacting with the other heroes.
But I think I've always preferred the solo Spidey stories, in all honesty.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here.
Fans want the film rights to go back to Marvel - fair enough.
These same fans, however, want the animation rights (especially in regards to The Spectacular Spider-Man) to be continued...over at Sony. How many times do fans still say they want that show back?
Who thought that Marvel would make worse cartoons under their own house? (I'm actually in the minority of people who like Ultimate Spider-Man, but I'm talking about the general consensus).
So nobody's to say it would be perfect.

Personally, as long as I'm getting a fix of Spidey films, I'm good.
There are things I would have done differently.
The main factor I feel is that Sony should do less meddling and let the director(s) just get on with their vision. We still never got to see the "true" Spider-Man 3 because they didn't allow the Sandman subplot to play out, not to mention the fact that Venom was shoe-horned in by Avi Arad.

Again, I'm in the minority of people who actually enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (it's actually my favourite out of all the Spider-Man films), but you can tell there are things in there that Webb didn't want to do, or would have done differently.

Disappointed but not suicidal like I think some people on this forum will be. BUT if the deal falls through 'AND' top quality writing and directing talent isn't secured that may break me.

Get Vaughn and Goldman to write and direct. X-Men was a joke and they came aboard and made my second favourite CBM of all time (X:FC). Hopefully lightning would strike twice with Spider-Man.

:lmao: Actually sums up how I'd feel too

.

well would help the clear out the forum abit

Before the hack, people were complaining that all the negativity killed the forum.

The thing for me with the Amazing series is there are things I absolutely love but that is almost entirely down to the lead actors now that both are gone (Garfield unconfirmed but I don't see him return) I can take or leave the Webverse. As actual movies, the pacing is all over the place, way too much coincidence and happenstance and elements of the movie are just clumsily put together (inexperienced director).

I could care less about Webb returning because;
a) he doesn't have the clout to stop Sony meddling.
and
b) he doesn't have enough of an artistic version. Say what you want about Raimi, the original trilogy are undoubtedly Raimi movies. Webb can lay claim to arguably the best CBM chemistry since Reeve and Kidder but Garfield and Stone are lovers in real life so he'd have to be pretty lame to not let the romance seem genuine.

Clean house. Marvel or no Marvel. Reboot the franchise top to bottom. Without Marvel involved the reboot is going to take BO hit (people getting angry of ANOTHER reboot)make sure you make a movie so good they come out in numbers to see the sequel ala X:FC and Batman Begins.

I'd probably take a break from Spider-Man for the next 13 years.....
Hopefully by then somebody could get Spider-Man's movie license from Sony.

The rights revert is there is a 5 year break so a 13 year break isn't going to happen, thankfully.

Regardless you are going to hear new very quickly. The summit is supposed to be in January and Sinister Six has a 2016 release day. I think you'll hear news (one way or the other) by mid Feb the latest.

I'd be pretty disappointed. But it'd depend on sonys vision for spidey as to whether I'd just end it all or whether id cope with it

Extremely disappointed. I don't know that Sony is capable of earning my trust ever again that they would make a quality Spider-Man movie. And I sure as heck am not gonna pay for it to find out.

... Just kidding.

I'll be disappointed.

But, like the great Michael B Jordan said... I'll "go see it anyway".

Sony Pictures are such a piece of **** company I think the probability of this deal happening is like 5%. They are going to continue destroying my poor boy Spidey.

Obviously extreme disappointment. At this point who would even care about seeing a solo spiderman film or a spinoff of supporting characters created by Sony? Once you tease Spidey in the MCU there's no going back.

Well I have been done with seeing non MCU Marvel related movies in the theater since the MCU began. I am still very hopeful that Sony will make an arrangement, so that Marvel's flagship character can be back where he belongs interacting with their expanding universe of characters.

On a side note doesn't it seem like the hacking news has kind of died off in the last 24 hours. I guess North Korea's internet being shut down for a day has stopped the hackers from further leaking information. So, I wonder if we will be getting any more leaks now that they are back up. I am pretty sure that was a US. warning shot.

I would say the odds are more 50/50, but who knows.

I highly doubt even if it is connected to NK that these hackers are in North Korea. And I'm pretty sure they said they'd stop once the Interview was cancelled.
