After the atrocious ASM2, I'm still not convinced we're getting ASM3.

So Sony's treating the Spiderman movies like the PS VITA SD cards? In which they'll never learn their mistakes or fix them? K.

I'm not familiar with the PS Vita. What's up with their SD cards?

You never know. If the S6 movie is a total and complete failure, it's entirely possible we won't get an ASM3 and instead we'll probably see yet another reboot.

I still think they're debating on things. 2018 is already packed full of movies. I personally think they should cancel everything and plan for something in 2019 or beyond.

Why not release it on April or maybe November is a good date to play it safe

I still don't like November. You have the Harry Potter spin-off sequel and a Disney animated movie. April is probably their best option if they don't want an August, September, October date.

Yeah, I think April is a great date. I just hope the movie does great critically and be left untouched by Sony and/or the producers before the film hits in theaters. I want Marc Webb and crew to do their best.

I don't see how Sony can possibly expect audiences to wait four years for a sequel to an underperforming film and still expect to make money. Marvel would just ship Spider-Man to Netflix but I have faith that they'd tell a better story. Plus, Sony is keeping Kurtzman around for reasons I can't even imagine.

It's telling that I have more faith in Fox's Fantastic Four reboot which Fox has done next to no promotion for than I do for any of Sony's Spider-Man films. I am that pessimistic.

I mean, Marvel Studios has Feige and Whedon and there's not the potential for James Gunn to become more of a producer as well. Fox has Lauren Schuler Donner, Mark Millar and Simon Kinberg and to some extent Bryan Singer. Sony only has Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Alex Kurtzman producing the films and none of them have a fanbase but all of them have very vocal detractors. The only person they have going for them on the production side is Drew Goddard who's handling a Spider-Man movie told from the perspective of villains.

that's not doing spiderman justice

he deserves to be on the big screen with his other marvel counterparts

and i'm not talking about this big screen

Neither is omitting the hyphen in his name... feels bad man :(

I'm just joking around. But all that aside, I don't think we're going to see ASM4, at least not as part of the main series. I don't see S6 doing even as well as ASM2, so I don't think we'll be seeing ASM4 as a continuation after ASM3 unless it's a spinoff sometime in the future, both canonically and realistically.

I don't think kurtzman is around and with everything that has happened with the movie and Sony I think Sony will be making TASM 3 better but we still have to keep an eye on them even the sinister six. If Sony screws up the six and TASM 3 by meddling with webb and goddard they're screwed for life

ASM3 could be the greatest thing since sliced bread and we still wouldn't get ASM4.

Not sure if serious.

Spider-Man 4 was announced for May 6, 2011 and look what happened.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the worst received critically and financially Spider-Man movie of all time. The series doesn't have any magic and has already ran it's course after the first one.

Spider-Man needs to be left alone to rest for about 8-10 years before he gets another movie. Then hopefully a Chris Nolan type character comes along to give him the respect and treatment he deserves on the big-screen again.

Just my opinion.

I would be surprised if we don't get asm3. But after sm4 not happing I am not going to say that couldn't happen. If sm4 could get cancelld after sm 3 made almost 900 million ww and people still wanting rami to come back even if they where dissapoted in sm3 then yeah asm2 making only about 700 million and a lot of people thinking it is even worse then sm3 then yeah any thing could happen.

Now that is just crazy talk. If asm3 was consider with the great CBM like dark knight, sm2 ect and made like a billion then they would make asm4.

I agree. Webb has already said he's done and we haven't heard anything from Garfield since they've postponed ASM3. Considering the reception 2 has received, I can see the cast wanting to leave on a high note.

I can see that after the **** Sony has pulled. Hopefully the actors are keeping their mouths shut because the movie is be reworked plot wise and trying to find new writers who can write great like the person who did spectacular now

well you know, i don't get a red line under his name when i write spiderman.

anyways, it is of my opinion that his cinematic life will get much better if he was incorporated into the mcu.

but the longer they put it off, the less the chance it'll be of any help
