They could go for a traditional linear story type game, playing as Hal Jordan...
OR...
They could do it as an MMORPG set in the Green Lantern mythos, you create your own Lantern character and you can even decide what TYPE of Lantern you want to be. You wouldn't even necessarily have to be a Green Lantern. You could be evil if you want, joining the Sinestro Corps. or maybe the Red Lantern or Black Lantern Corps.
I'd choose to be a Star Sapphire of course.
