Is Clark flying really the end of SV? I mean can't he do just a few more things there before puting on the costume. I mean I always saw it as him putting the costume on or the making of the costume and him moving to Metropolis as the final step or if the go the S:TM route him in the Fortress with the costume. Thats how I saw him saying good bye to SV and moving to Superman not when he learns how to fly that it is over.

Personally, I'd like him in Metropolis after his induction to the Planet working.

He'd then look up at one of the news bulletin televisions, see an impending disaster, make up a really lame excuse, and run off, undoing his tie along the way.

The last shot would be an empty room with the window wide open, curtains flapping, a red streak in the sky and a sonic boom.

I believe they do something like that.
