Howard the duck comes to civil war!!!!!!

People insulting Howard have more than likely never actually READ Howard, and so they do not know his genius
Yeah they remember the movie and base their complaints on that.

UUUmmm... That's EXACTLY the kind of thing that Howard The Duck would do, lol.

He hasn't been able to do Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk because the scripts aren't done. The lateness of the book mainly lies on Lindeloff.

In case someone already said this, "Well Sorry!" but did you notice Howard is wearing a shirt that appears to be the Punisher logo?

That's his tie actually. ;)

I wouldnt say that barely qualifies, but its still something. At least the original x-men are doing something together that isnt simply a retread of their origin story.
Oh, I agree. I'm pleasantly surprised that at least SOME X-Men aren't going to knowtow to the SENTINAL ONE anymore and even risk beating on some of the pro-SHRA people in the process, and what irony that it's the remaining founders of the X-Men. Even if Beast looks like some kind of panther/bear hybrid.

I'm enjoying it so far.

I stopped reading after issue #1 but Bishop's justification for following the side of the registration seems odd to me. I wouldn't have thought that he of all people would side with the sentinals so to speak. It almost seems like he's helping to bring to pass the timeline he comes from. Anyway, I do like that the originals (minus Jean of course) are doing a mission together.
Well, since Cable is the "emotionless soldier from the future who is ANTI SHRA", I guess they figured they'd make Bishop the "emotionless soldier from the future who is PRO SHRA" to have an opposite match. Considering I don't care one whit about either "character" (and I use the term loosely), it didn't bother me none.

Sorry. While Deadeye is quite awesome, he'll always be #2 to Howard.

This one-shot is too awesome for words. I really can't wait for it. These Civil War tie-ins are really kicking ass.

Agreed.

I love Howard the Duck, I can't wait for this...hopefully he'll get another mini afterwards at least :o

Million? no way

let's assume the book does fairly well and does 40,000 copies.

at $3 apeice, that's only $120,000

but, comic retailers take a 50% profit (estimate) so really only $60,000 goes to marvel

but wait, there's the diamond distribution fee, plus cost of physical production as well as payment for the artist and writer, along with the inker, editor, colorist, etc., so Marvel itself really only makes a fraction of that

couple million? no where close

You know I've never even actually seen Howard's movie. Just heard of it's badness. I've never been exposed to him before at all, so therefore I really look foward to this one shot for that reason.

And unfortunately due to the first impression visual nature of the character that automaticly makes people assume he's akin to Donald or Daffy Duck, as well as the craptacular George Lucas film which had nothing to do with the character whatsoever, insults from the unknowing are inevitable every time he is brought up

you've read the MAX miniseries, right Question?
It's akin to basing your oppinion of Captian America based on the Movie. Or worse, Spider-Man, based on the TV show.

are you a Vertigo fan at all, Bill?

I remember the Spider avatar. Those were the days.

I wonder what side Howard is going to take. Maybe the tie is a symbol that he might side with Frank...nah it's just a dream.

He'd probably take his usual stance: Everyone is wrong.
