Days of Future Past Hugh Jackman IS The Wolverine Thread

What you said is different. Of course she was intended to be Emma Frost. You can't have a blonde character named Emma that wears white (where the other prisoners are NOT wearing white), with Diamond powers and not intending that character to be Emma Frost.

They might have retracted her being Emma since the bad reception of that film (and bigger turn for the character from January Jones) but that character WAS very much Emma Frost.

lets not forget this little video fox themselves put out where she calls herself emma frost

people are just in denial

So, how many other blonde-haired Mutants named Emma who wear white and can turn her body into diamonds do we know about, anyone?

I hate it when x-threads devolve into "I don't have to acknowledge the continuity errors if I don't want to". lol

Emma Silverfox is never referred to in canon as anything other than 'Kayla's sister'. It's not 'being in denial' to recognize that, nor is it 'being in denial' to say that she was ever canonically intended to be Emma Frost.

At any rate, the thread's been derailed enough.

Hugh Jackman is phenomenal in this role, and it's going to be fun to see where they take his character arc in DoFP.

it is quite hilarious they just dont want to admit continuity errors

she has a video that i posted above where she calls herself emma frost
she is white,blonde,wears white,is a mutant,turns into diamonds,etc.

but she is not emma frost because donner said so lol

If that is the case, then purpled-haired girl in X3 isn't Psylocke because I say so.

I second this notion!

Besides she wasn't that big of a character in Last Stand not alot of people even know Psylocke was in the film... if they decide to use her in X-Force, and she's more like a comic book counterpart, who will really be complaining?!

General audiences wouldn't even know there's two characters named Psylocke!

I said I was done with derailing this thread, but felt compelled to respond to the following:

The difference between Lauren Shuler Donner and you is that Shuler Donner is connected to these movies and you aren't.

You can snark at me all you want, but I'm not going to join you in perpetuating a continuity error that doesn't actually exist and never did actually exist.

Now I'm done for real.

so please explain this video that fox put out to promote origins

was she lying did she misspeak her real name lol

i'd love to hear you defend that

^ I said I was done, but since you want a response, I'm going to give you one:
Promotional material - like that video - IS NOT CANON.

Now I'm done.

Call me when this thread sees anything else in Egypt apart from a certain river.

Oh please.

She was clearly canonically intended to be Emma Frost. However, she is no longer canonically Emma Frost, since they chose to retcon and all but disown XO: W, but at the time of that film's creation, she was Emma Frost.

Anyway, that Hugh Jackman, eh?...

... I think they are gonna go through with killing him. Maybe only one version of him, or an open ended fate with Time Travel complications, but I don't see Logan walking out of this one in good shape. The whole world and Mutant kind seems to be counting on him here and usually that comes at a price or fatal choice.

It's possable that the 2023 version will be killed onscreen.Bryan Singer has said some of cool things from comics will be In film.

One possabilty Is he Is killed,Bishop Is teleported a few years earlier by Blink, and
Xavier and Magneto realize things are hopeless to dfeat the sentinles leading to
the desperate mind switch plot with Wolverine.

Wouldn't work going on what we know. Wolverine is the time traveler. It would be cool to see him get annihilated by a Sentinel in the future, but with him being the time traveler just makes that more or less impossible.

Not saying it would happen early in the film. If Wolverine is successful and returns to his future self in a now Alt timline he could very well be killed at the end by a still Sentinel ran future. Or if they are going with a changed future his actions could leave him stuck or in a more complicated situation with time travel consequences.

Unless they are following DoFP with an Age of Apocalypse film then I doubt any alternate future will be a dystopian one. If it is then killing Wolverine isn't a good idea because you need him for AoA. If it's not then killing him off is pointless and means he can't appear in future movies. They're not going to kill off their biggest star.

No one stays dead forever, I think it will be used for dramatic weight . But yeah, who knows. There are way too many options and not enough info...

If they end DoFP with the dystopian future still being in existence, albeit not entirely the same, I could see them using it as the setting for their X-Force movie and potential franchise. It would be a way to set the movie and franchise apart from the main X franchise while still keeping the two franchises loosely connected, and would let them use characters like Colossus and Wolverine.

Yeah, since the future team is wearing the exact color scheme of X-Force with a few X-Force members joined in. I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route.

I think it's been thought up by a few people on here that there's possibly 3 Wolverines. One from the Future (where Bishop, Blink and Warpath are, maybe even Wolfsbane), the Present Wolverine who we last saw in The Wolverine mid-credits, and Past Wolverine.

If this is the case, Future Wolverine could potentially be FRIED :)

Okay, I'm just catching up, but . . . Future timeline: Bishop, Warpath, Sunspot, Blink . . . And Gray Stripes Wolverine.
Present timeline: Storm, Kitty, Rogue, Iceman, Wolverine, . . . And Colossus, Magneto, Professor from the pictures we saw of them wearing those G.I. Joe black uniforms. With the possibility of Scott and Jean coming back to this timeline.
Past timeline: Charles, Hank, Erik, Raven, Quicksilver, Young Striker, Trask, Havok.

Did I get it right?

I think that Bishop and Blink will be in the present and future timelines.

:lmao:
