And again, I'm sure Hugh's not doing any of this without the right supervision so he doesn't put himself at risk. He's not stupid, and I doubt the studio would let one of their franchise stars go on some crazy regimen that winds up getting them hurt.

I don't understand how any woman (or anyone else) can complain about Jackman's body. He is 44 freakin years old and looks truly amazing. I enjoy looking at his glorious body but to each their own.
I don't see how anybody quite frankly can complain about his body. The man looks incredible and there's just no two ways about it.

I'll never understand caring about actors using steriods? They aren't cheating at a sport that banned it or anything.

Me too, I think he looks great. I got to meet him last week, and he looks perfectly healthy. He's really tall, even better looking in person, and dear god, those eyes are amazing. :yay:

But he's a stage actor too, and you have to do all this crazy conditioning to stay in shape when you perform a show 8 times a week, just so you don't fry out your voice or exhaust yourself. Hugh did the last months of The Boy From Oz with a stress fracture in his foot, but he never missed a show. They just adjusted some of the choreography so he wouldn't injure it worse.

It's just part if the job, whether you're on stage or playing a superhero. As long as you're careful and take care of yourself, I don't see the problem.

Were Henry Cavill and Hugh Jackman the same size? Because Henry looked amazing in MOs and like I said I havent seen TW,if it looks like that then its ok, im just going off the pics of him working out veins popping. Im a guy and I do like muscles just not to many muscles, to much can look nasty.
Yes in the movie Jackman has the extremely vascular appearance, you can see below and it does look absolutely sick but that is why it is impressive, that is the effect Jackman wanted, he wanted the audience to go "Oh ****!". I think it was a great terrifying look for this character.

Slant Magazine called his boundary pushing physique an act of heroism in itself. Every single poster for The Wolverine had him shirtless, and when I saw them I thought his abs were enhanced or something but when you see the Shingen fight in the movie, you realize that the posters were true, there is no enhancement, he actually was that cut in the film.

As a male I find it totally inspiring and shows what dedication and hard work can bring:up:

Also it shows Hugh cares about the roll and wants to put in the best performance physically as well as emotionally.

everybody is just happy to see him shirtless, muscles bulging they could care less how healthy he is which is sad. So the veiny look made him appear terrifying ohk i see not really sure how veiny muscles can make someone more terrifying but thats the direction they were going in.

No one is saying that. I think the general consensus here has been that as long as he's careful with his training regimen, people are fine with it. No one wants Hugh to get hurt or put his health at risk, but as its been stated here repeatedly now, we're sure he's doing all of this under the proper supervision so none of those things happen.

So Hugh is still filming DOFP? I assume that is why he is continuing to workout like a madman.

Nobody has asked Jackman to do this, not the director, not the producers, not the fans, this is something what Jackman himself wanted to do. He has said in his interviews, that if he can't be physically better every time, he sees no point in doing it.

It's more in line with his body building goals or body image goals. This role is the arena for him to really test his limits physically. And the director in not complaining, the producers are not complaining and the fans are not complaining because the end result looks really impressive on screen.

So before cursing the fans for putting Jackman's health at risk, you should think about who asked him to do this in the first place.

Hugh is a beast in more the one way it seems.

Wolverine is supposed to be 5'3". However, many artists these days draw him much taller.

This is from the always-truthful National Enquirer :whatever: but I wonder if there's any grain of truth to it.

The multi-million dollar secret HUGH is hiding as he ponders a clawless future.

HUGH JACKMAN has been offered an astronomical $100 million to sign on for four more Wolverine movies – but insiders say he may turn it down.

The 44-year-old Aussie hunk is said to be wary about inking a long-term deal – even though this one would double his net worth.

“Hugh has a big decision to make,” a close pal told The ENQUIRER. “It’s not every day an actor gets offered this kind of paycheck, but Hugh vowed never to lock himself into any multipicture deals after ‘X-Men.’ He hasn’t given any kind of answer yet, so at least he’s considering it.”

Hugh’s latest release, “The Wolverine,” raked in about $55 million on its opening weekend to nab the No. 1 slot at the box office. Meanwhile, the star is already busy filming “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

A movie company spokesman revealed: “The studio would love to have Hugh play Wolverine for the next two decades. The bosses want him, and money is obviously no object.”

Hugh, a classically trained actor, has hinted he’s open to the idea of playing an aging Wolverine, telling reporters: “I think that would be fascinating.”

But in a recent interview, the star disclosed that his actress-wife Deborra-Lee had been against him playing Wolverine from the very first “X-Men” movie and wants to see him concentrate on more serious roles.

“Hugh won’t make any decisions without her approval,” said his pal, “and their friends are betting she’ll have him stick to their ‘one movie at a time’ rule.

There is DOFP, he may appear in the X-Force film (though not necessarily as a member of the team). There's a potential X-Men 4. There may also be a Wolverine 3 (Logan and Yukio in Russia fighting Omega Red and Spiral would be my idea), etc.

If this is true then that adds credence to the thought that Fox have or are trying to sign the OT actors for more X-Men films.

wolverine will be the only character we know in and out by the time they stop making these films, i personally don't think we need a wolverine 3, we know more then perhaps we need too about him, infact there will probably be something new for him in DOFP, they may be desperately looking for new things to do with him these days

his character is very much a stab, heal, rage, gunshot, heal, rage cliche

keep him in the team movies where its less reliant of them cliches to keep the film going

but thats my opinion

if he agrees then chances are he is gonna be in X-force, FOX don't care how much they use the character

personally i see it as abit cowardly on FOX's part to need wolverine for X-force but that looks like where its going

I actually don't think that's too far off. Fox NEEDS to start signing these guys for multi picture deals.
