I really hate those two kids. How could the casting people possibly think we would accept those two fat uggos at the children of Tom Jane and Anne Heche? And why was that kid crying? seriously, recast the roles or write them out of the show, it's embarrassing. The entire cast is so great and charming, except for the kids!

Agreed. Been scratching my head over the kids casting from day one;especially the son. The only thing i can think of is that they're setting it up that they're not really his kids.....?


The show is cool. I really like the female pimp (can't think of her name at the moment). She's cute..in a plain jane kinda way. And jane pulls this off great.

I am quite surprised more people arent talking about this magnificent show.
About the kids as previously stated the kids might not be his(they already said that anne Heche character didnt keep her marriage vows) or that maybe she was fat when younger.

Um fat kids dont always come from fat parents. I like the fact that they chose to make the kids look like normal teenagers. This isnt fn Gossip Girl or some **** not every teenage character on tv has to be hot. You guys are so fatists and I am offended! Offended i say!!!!

Um yea have you read any of this countries obesity statistics? Fat is normal in this country nowadays. It makes more sense to me that the twins of a star athlete wouldnt be a "chip off the old block" because thats not how life works all the time. Neither one of my parents were fat when I was born (though they are now lol) and I didnt start getting big till about 1st -3rd grade. I blame it on the ritalin though I was on that stuff from 1st grade on and I think that stuff seriously had adverse effects on my metabolism and psyche

Still sounds like an excuse to me. A lot of kids being obese does not mean that the kids of the star athlete will be. In fact they should be the exception considering their genetics and their father's job.

But then, what do I care, I'm not fat. But then I work out. Either way, the kids suck.

Lol but seriously genetics dont mean a damn thing a whole lot of other factors contribute to obesity and just cuz you have the gene doesnt mean you will or wont be fat. If you look at it storywise its a nice contrast that his kids are totally the opposite of him at that age. We all know how that goes though no matter how hard you fight it you ususally end up just like your parents

Finally watched this tonight. It just really sort of seemed like a more comedy driven American version of Secret Diary of a Call Girl, only with a guy. It was fun though.

Other than that, I really enjoy this show. I'm excited to see when the neighbor's wife is gonna make her move on Ray.

i'm starting to think it lacks direction a bit, but i'm still enjoying it. just not really sure where it's going with this whole thing.

I really like the show, there's some really good humorous elements that aren't forced or awkward, and it just seems to flow naturally. I'm glad it's been renewed, I think it could be very, very good once the story starts to flow. Tom Jane is great in the role too, which surprised me, it's not something I expected from him.

Weird episode last night although still decent. Him having to replay that scene with the same woman over and over and him continuuing to screw it up was pretty funny. I assume it's gonna start to go towards him falling for her if the previews for next week are to be believed.

I never got the impression that he wanted her. In fact, I dont even think Ray knows what the note in the cookies said. I might be totally off base there but he seems confused as to why she keeps staring at him like that. Seems out of character for him to openly hit on his neighbor's wife, then again as a gigalo he's nailing married women left and right, so who knows?

Before the ex-wife went broke I was almsot certain she was gonna hire the personal shopper, ***** about the sex with her new husband, get put in touch with the pimp, and end up opening the door to see Ray

That would be great but I dont think anything good would come of it. Would be an awesome cliffhanger for the finale though. He knocks on the door and she opens it. Then they pan to a side view and you just see her arm grab him and drag him in the room. We dont know if they actually have sex or not. But sumthin would go down prolly a nice ass-chewin

Interesting epsiode again last night. The whole Gemma thing confuses the hell out of me. I never can tell when they're "in character" or not. And I dont think Ray even knows for that matter.

And it seems a bit too early for them to be bringing in a love interest into Ray's life, especially one that he knows is a few cans short of a six pack.

The pimp chick is starting to wear on me a bit as well.

That chick is crazy! Bringing him to her therapist! So from what I'm reading into it, she used to date a guy who she really loved but he left her, she's got unresolved issues and is working them out and continuing that old relationship with Ray as a surrogate. The showing up at the game was creeping, it freaked me out at home!
