I dont quiet get this? should this be in this part of the forums or are you suggesting that in the next x-men sequel we should see Hydra?

Hyrda's most likely owned by Marvel Studios & will be in Cap or Avengers.

This is a poll on which character do you think should be in the next x-men movie. Wolverine had a lot of dealings with hydra due to his connections with SHIELD. they have already done one movie featuring shield versus hydra http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119781/
Viper and baron von strucker was present in this movie as well as nick fury.
What uniform do you think Hydra should wear? that was kinda a second question of this poll since through time their uniforms changed.

X-23 was originally in a cartoon series where she was "produced" and then attacked shield getting wolverine and the x-men involved. I personally like this version better than the comic book version because she seems more human then a " Hi I hate myself and everything around me so let's make a story about it". [YT] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_aqTXRZIec[/YT] It seems a good PG rated area when I was there but I have zero control over what happens ther either.

The other idea presented was the avengers storyline. The people within the avengers change so the choice of who is in it is still open or it could be some other superhero group since none of the marvel characters live in a vacuum where none of them interact.

I remember the nick hasselhoff movie...

Hydra are planned to appear in wolverine 3, think Hugh Jackman mentioned this before... something to do with Omega Red, Viper characters needed to bring Wolverines character full cycle.

The studio clearly wanted Wolverine movies to be a trilogy... the whole set up of origins left alot to still be wanted from Wolverines solo adventures.

Because of this we know hes going to japan in the sequel, so for 3rd movie i dont see him fighting sabretooth again without a lond drawn story... Hydra would be that missing link.

They could do the slither serum storyline which turns people into snakes.
"Viper has previously used a chemical derived from the serpentine mutant Slither, which is extremely concentrated and can be used to contaminate entire cities' supplies of drinking water. When consumed or injected, the chemical transforms people to take on serpentine characteristics, including scales, fangs, and a forked tongue. Such "Serpent Men", are highly susceptible to her control, but they are also mentally dulled and are somewhat poikilothermic, affected by the ambient temperature, much like a real snake. In cool environments, these Serpent Men become highly sluggish or even inert." http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/madame_hydra_viper.htm

That would just.....

be

terrible, sorry that isnt a good idea...

Me personally see it like this...

The story of Wolverine is very closely tied with the whole Weapon X programe. - because of how origins ended, Wolverine has no memory and looking for answers... so really we need him getting closer and closer to finding out who he is until we get to just before x-men the movie.

Now how i see it is like this.

Wolverine 2 - Wolverine finds himself traveling north through canada looking for answers, anyway something happens and he gets knocked onconcious thrown into the river - few hours later he is fished out of the sea by innuits where they take him to one of there homes. During that time a tanker shipping "Adamantium" to a japanise businessman passes but stuck in ice uses brutality to get help from the innuits - Wolverine steps in and a fight occures - The tanker is freed in time but wolverine manages to get on board - the person leading this transport of adamantium is Silas Burr a former agent of weapon x programe worked for stryker until it was disbanded, he recognised wolverine before which pre-empted them to get the tanker moving as possible but doesnt realise he has snuck on board. wolverine stows away to Japan where he meets Silas Burr employer which is the silver samuri, a tyrant like businessman, Wolverine teams up with Sunfire whose sister had been kidnapped by the silver samuri to find out more answers as to who he is. Silas Burr then becomes Cyber - laced with adamantium - him and wolverine fight - then wolverine fights the silver samuri... as wolverine wins, Silver Samuri tells wolverine that he was only one of many test subjects that he knows of and suggest wolverine to find hydra if he wants to learn more. which leads into the Wolverine 3

Wolverine 3 - Wolverine tracks down hydra, but the story reveals they have there own weapon x - Omega Red - and the story revolves around wolverine stopping him, Omega Red is ten times more powerful than Wolverine and ten times worser than what stryker wanted wolverine to become.

I can tell you thought out the second movie very well and it seems like it could become a reality. cyber is supposed to have adamantium skin and if adamantium is invulnerable he would need joints to move. also besides stabbing him in the eye it would make his whole body able to withstand anything unless wolverine found a joint his claws would do little good.

Omega red I thought was created by the KGB as a super agent to take down capitalism sometime around the cold war. you must be refering to this:

Omega Red appears in the episode "Target X" of X-Men: Evolution voiced by Richard Newman. He is depicted as working alongside HYDRA as part of a deal to get revenge on Wolverine for something the Weapon X program did. Wolverine has no memory of who Omega Red is or what they did to him, but he swears vengeance upon them all, including Sabertooth, Wraith and Maverick. He was paired up with a HYDRA operative named Gauntlet to capture Wolverine and also ran afoul of X-23. With help from some HYDRA agents, Gauntlet and Omega Red managed to capture Wolverine and X-23 and brought them to the HYDRA Base where Madame Hydra is. While in the HYDRA base, Wolverine ends up fighting Omega Red and manages to defeat him. After the aircraft that Madame Hydra and Gauntlet were in crashes, Omega Red is then arrested by the arriving S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents.

here is a good site tha describes his abilites and background quite well.
http://x-men.wikia.com/wiki/Omega_Red

here is just some FYI
In order to stabilize his condition, Omega Red required the "carbonadium synthesizer," a device that was stolen by Wolverine, Maverick, and Sabretooth during their final mission together as "Team X" sometime during the 1960s when this trio tried to rescue double agent Janice Hollenbeck and the carbonadium synthesizer.. It was because of his need for the carbonadium synthesizer that Omega Red continuously sought out these three individuals over the years, believing they may know of its whereabouts.

At some time in the past the Soviet government decided that Omega Red was too unpredictable and treacherous to be relied upon, and placed him in cryogenic suspended animation until a method could be found to control him. After the fall of Communism in Russia he was released by the clan of ninja known as the Hand. Omega Red served Matsu'o Tsurayaba, who revived him from suspended animation. Omega Red was led to believe that Wolverine knew the whereabouts of the carbonadium synthesizer which could save his life, and sought him out in an effort to find this device. Omega Red defeated Wolverine and brought him to Tsurayaba. In doing so, he came into conflict with the X-Men for the first of many times.

it seems to me that most of his encounters with him are when he already meets the x-men it could make a good movie placed between x-men movie 2 and 3 since even if he doesn't remeber I'm sure someone from the x-men would.

Since I am thimking of it lady deathstrike would be a excellant character for later wolverine movies
- she was a agent of hydra
- featured in the second movie with weapon X
- has a large feud with him and she searches him out.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Deathstrike

it could be set at a period of time when she was still a agent of hydra and this would tie into the whole japan thing

Oh i know the history pretty well for Omega Red, but because it would be too complicated to explain his origin, it would be easier to incorporate him in with the hydra crowed even though he wasnt directly involved.

Also i figured Lady Deathstrikes pre-adamantium appearance would be in wolverine 2.

I havent really given ita lot of thought as to what would happen in wolverine movie. But im just bouncing off the facts there presenting us with, 1. they want cyber in the next one, 2. they want it in japan, 3. pre-lady deathstrike will appear.

To me the logical answer to the wolverine saga has always been about the weapon x story - to me its logical that if wolverine is looking for his past the first thing he is going to do is travel round canada, if cyber is involved he was a weapon x project - so making him involved with the transport of adamantium to japan to silver samuris business makes sense. It also makes sense that america wouldnt be the only place making wolverine like character, for US - they had wolverine, Japan well they could say Cyber, and as for Russa you coudl say Omega Red. And isnt Hydra russian? ive always figured that instead of trying to explain where omega red came from, lets just say he is part of hydra...

see there would be too many factors in true history of these characters but i think my idea is a good path to follow.

I have looked into hydra's fictional past: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HYDRA
HYDRA is funded by Baron Strucker's personal fortune, based on his recovered horde of Nazi treasure from World War II, and funds established by the original leaders of the Japanese secret society that became HYDRA.ts extent of operations is worldwide, always attempting to elude the ongoing counter-espionage operations by S.H.I.E.L.D. But I have also heard German influence as well on another site

How about Omega red was created by advanced idea mechanics for Russia. They certainly have made a lot of different cyborgs and weapons in the past and they have always sold there services to other nations as well as organizations.

Wolverine's history with weapon X is only a small portion of what has happened to him but the people at marvel must have a fascination with people and metal claws and it seems to revolve around them and what he does with them. Also despite having a reist domination in the RPG he is frequently brainwashed for others to do their bidding further obstructing his history.

Some plot holes I wan to point out
1. how did weapons X find out a way to bond adamantium to bone when only two individuals can survive threw the process. supposedly lady deathstrikes father came up with a process but how did they get it.
2. how did cyber get all of this abilities form regeneration, unbreakable skin, track mind patterns etc. Also it says that cyber was actually his commanding officer in the past and the fued began when he attacke dhis girlfriend ( sound like the first movie of sabertooth doing the same thing?) Also they meet again in a drug cartel in madipor which he got exposed to a drug that allowed him to track brain patterns like wolverine's.
3. the first movie ends after the Vietnam war so in order to see the various feuds develop are you saying they happen due to his travels?
4. A portion of the japan story is his son Daken in order to fully explain that story you would need to begin his story as well ( then we go into the broken record theme again of he finds love someone kills her yada yada)
5. Also if the story is based on weapon X when does facilities like the world come into play? a good storyline in this direction may be Soon after, Fantomex contacts Wolverine and offers him information about his mysterious past if he helps Fantomex destroy Ultimaton, also known as Weapon XV, the last creation of the Weapon Plus Program. Fantomex, Wolverine, and the X-Men's Cyclops travel to The World, an artificial, time-altering environment designed by Weapon Plus to quickly develop and evolve new generations of super-soldiers.
Upon arriving at the space station Fantomex keeps his word by showing Wolverine the complete Weapon Plus database. Shocked at learning the terrible details of his past (including his role in the slaughter of the entire population of Roanoke while under the influence of Weapon X), Wolverine initiates the self-destruct sequence for the space station before catching and ultimately killing Ultimaton. Fantomex and Cyclops escape the explosion in one of the station's shuttles.
6. When professor Xavier read wolverine's mind what did he see that made him want to keep it from him. perhaps without knowing of his past he is more mentally stable since he has fluctuated from feral to human also on a regular basis. We already know that he has had multiple identities in the past.
7. also how about this : S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Ultimate Marvel parallel universe was first led by General "Thunderbolt" Ross. During the Gulf War, the Weapon X Project, headed by Colonel John Wraith, was sanctioned by S.H.I.E.L.D. and resulted in the creation of Wolverine.
8. When does his involvement with alpha flight begin and what happens during that period of time

you want to try and avoid anything that comes close to captain america.

ok What would omega red look like and who would play him?

FYI the info I have posted is only to try and expand the idea

Alot of people want Ron Perlman buti dont think he would be the ideal choice.

I personally think Mickey Rourke would be ideal but im not to happy with actors portraying more than one marvel character. Think it ruins the universe all the films have created. although they are not directly linked still captain america is also the human tourch... yeah, just dont like it.

But it got me thinking though what about getting a fairly unknown actor to play the part. Someone who is Russian or can portray a good russian character. a name i found was Konstantin Khabensky. Think i have seen him in a few things, he doesnt exactly have the same build as Omega Red, But the build isnt really important as to how well an actor can portray the role.

And omega red is pretty much a psychopath without a concious so if you can get someone like that.

I was thinking of something like they did in avatar where the character acts but is digitally modified to look the way they wanted. this way they could do the metal tentacles. Which version of omega red would you choose he has gone through a lot of changes

None of the versions, he works better as a concept than copying him directly from the comics.

Think like how they did Pyro in the movies, the only way you recognise him as Pyro is his power.... essentially what you want for omega red is a russian actor skinny or built doesnt really matter two much as long as they look like they could provide a challenge for wolverine. The person can also act well... the tenticles should be the only cgi thing about him.
