I believe you disqualified Web Slinger's vote...but consider this...he has been here 5 years....and has a low post ratio...have you thought that perhaps he comes by Hype way for the release of the Spider-Man movies, gets it out of his system, discusses them, and leaves? That is the way I occupy the Spider-Man forums. Why can't he? A few of those members seem to have their presence timed out with the release of Spider-Man.

Last I checked, this was open to any Hype member...not just Hype members who post a lot. If they aren't duplicates, why should they be disqualified?

Also, regarding Thecomicbookkid, He IS a regular in the Superman forum. Because he registered 8 months ago is the reason that his post average is so low, but he has posted in the Superman forums AT LEAST 3 days for the past 3 months and almost daily for awhile now. To disqualify his vote is grossly unfair to him.

Also, I'd just like to thank all my voters, I came in this round expecting to get beat like a redheaded step child, but you guys really did rally for me and I do appreciate it alot. Again, thank you :)

If only there was a way to gain finacially from the hype contests.. If only... I'd be a rich man, on a nuclear powered yatch manned by monkies...

This isn't about biasness or favoritism. If I just threw out votes from people I didn't recognize, LS wouldn't have gotten this far.

When the voting is this close, yes I do check on some names and the ones that I think are fishy, low post count, I discredit. I would have done the same for anyone else.

But I just explained to you how comicbook kid is a valid poster. Therefore, do you not think it fair to reinstate him?

And for the record, I did not accuse you of biases. I accused you of not accurately checking a poster's history. You looked at their registration compared to their posts per day, but that is hardly a fair judge. It should be taken into account how active they have been lately. Many posters register months before they become active members of the Hype.

It would be more like, Kipobe is the entire Walton family combined, I would probably rank in the Bill Gates level where as Brodie is my Steve Jobs, and you would be that ******* who runs AOL :cwink:

Toven would fall into the Anna Nicole Smith category.

There has to be a line Matt. If I make a exception for based on you vouching for someone who voted for you, I'd have to allow for others in the future.

At this point I am accusing you of bias or at least stubbornness. I am not simply vouching for him, if you check his post history (which only takes a click of his name) you can see how active he has been over the past 3 months. Considering that, I do not see how you can in good faith disqualify him.

Stay on target Erz!

Who gives a ****?

That's been my point for several weeks now...a Hypester is a Hypester--it shouldn't matter where he spends the majority of his time posting on this website.

Yet it continues to be an issue for some.

But how do you determine "fishiness"? And what do low post counts have to do with their ability to vote? I would think a poster's daily presence would be a bigger factor. These rounds only go for 3 days. If these people are voting it means they have to already lurking here on a daily basis to even be aware of the contests in the first place.

LS, I've done the Hotties thread using the same principles as I do now.

You have people here for over 2 years with like .15 posts a day? I stand by my decision.

What if Scarlet Spidey or Green Goblin voted for me? Would their votes count? They are well known Hype posters but haven't posted regularly for 3 years...but still, they are well known...they have high post counts, do they count? I can get disqualification of duplicates. I can get not counting people who registered to vote, but to say someone like ComicbookKid doesn't count is ridiculous.

I'd like better clarification about ComicbookKid. He registered 8 months ago and his post per day average is low because he only started posting actively recently. Countless hypesters have taken months to post following their registration. You can see how active he has been over the past 3 months and yet you refuse to acknowledge it. Do you not see how that comes off as biased?

I already stated my reasoning for ComicbookKid. Like I said, there's a line. I allowed quite a few "newbies" with less posts than CBK that joined this very month.

And it's not like I just declared Wil the winner. It's a tie.

lol
Just let Matt have it. He obviously wanted it a lot more than I did.
Sure, I could've PMed people like Lackey, and Lee, and Daisy, and muscles, and asked them to vote for me, but I just can't cross that line into "caring that much". lol
I know I rule. He knows I rule. He had to sprint to barely overtake my leisurely stroll, lol.
His status as "Red-Headed Step Child Who Was Quick Enough To Narrowly Escape The Juggernaut's Massive Fists" is cemented in my mind.
