So I just read Jew's speech:
1. My wife doesn't know I play Hype! Survivor. She'd probably mock me. I respect that you can tell your wife. That's awesome!
2. Totally watch Ocean's 11, dude. Totally.
3. If Erz had gone? I dunno... I'm all about rebounding. Before a decision falls I look for every technicality and loophole. It's sometimes all that's left... it's what makes the greatest lawyers the best, because you think it's said and done and then they pull out a precedent that changes everything. It's kinda why I wanted to be a lawyer. But if that scenario did fall JUST like that I suppose I would've gone for winning immunity challenges and then re-inlisted fran. With fran, I could show him he was a pawn in your scheme, and maybe we could've gotten 'fire too. If not, you guys would've had to have voted out someone, and if I could make it 'fire then I would've gone for another immunity and you would've been gone in a tie. I don't like being forced into a corner... I'm very competitive and I'm extremely lethal in tight situations... that would've been by far NOT the worse situation I've been in and wormed out of.
But I pride myself on being vengeful... so, yeah... I would've outlasted you. However, I don't know how. But I WOULD HAVE outlasted you. From there it would be an issue of seeing who I would've wanted in the final 3: hippie or fran. Anyway...
4. You weren't an enemy of ours, Jew... myself and Brodie both wanted you to stay... we said so all the time. Brodie never wanted to vote you off, but it was business. We weren't actually planning on doing so either... the original plan was for Erz to win three immunities in a row and vote you off single-handedly... (he was on the path to do it... he had won two). If Teddy never got in the way (he hosted on the third day) then you would've never known it was us who ordered the hit.
But we didn't want you gone, and when Brodie looked like he was out, I spoke to Erz because I was happy that I didn't have to lie to you anymore. That way you could now exert all the energy you invested in playing one way into playing OUR way.
As for your "earning your keep" statement. You did earn your keep... but it was on a different path to me. When you knew the truth you had a decision to make, either one would've left you with a valid reason to continue... you chose one and it backfired. The other way would've guaranteed you a final 3 spot... and I don't think anyone would've questioned your right to be there.
It's almost insulting what you're saying because it's as if you're questioning hippie's right to be in the final 2... you don't think he deserved to be there? He played well the entire game with challenge assistance. Light on the strategy, but he was learning. We utilized his allies, and when we decided it was time for him to go he fought like a champion to stay in.
We hadn't decided it was your time yet, Jew... and it wouldn't have been any time soon with Brodiebear gone, but you took the first step. I came clean and told you the complete truth... I can't see how that's the same as total disloyalty since I did actually admit it all. Granted, much of what was done up to that point was a lie, but only because I had a path to the finals mapped out from the start and much of what you wanted to do was in opposition to that. Once I let you in, you had enough power to hang me, or make a genuine path for yourself. You chose to hang me, and that put you right back outside.
