Hype Survivor HYPE SURVIVOR 19: Creepy on a Whole New Level - Day 17: THE GRAND FINALE

Well given the situation of Me and you in the Final or 2 or Kipobe and you I thought Kipobe was more deserving. But because we orchestrated the entire game up to the Final 3, I think it was appropriate for us to headline the Final 2. No offense. We just got hit with 2 challenges in a row that didn't go our way.

Yes, Kipobe was more deserving. That was one of the two main factors that made me choose him over you. But the biggest one was simply because you asked me to kick you out.

And I think I deserved my spot in the final two. I have no ill feelings for Kipobe easily beating me in the finals and I am actually glad he won.

Oh you definitelly deserved to be in the Final 2. However, everything that you attribute to Kipobe winning, were my ideas too.

We just couldn't seem to get you out. :o

Do we have some controversy or something?

No not at all.

Our original plan was to have Kipobe & Brodie in the Final 2. I was going to bow out in the Final 3.

Obviously Brodie getting booted changed that. We both realized hey, we did the same amount of work we should both be in the Final 2 and that's what happened.

With this game you can't have a set outline of how to do things, you should have a plan and roll with any punch you get. I was hoping that Day 15 or Day 16 went differently but you have to modify what you wanted to do originally.

What about the Captain America question? I'm only arguing that right now for the sake of my own ego but what do you think?

From what I'm to understand, TMOB meant actually dawn the alter ego of captain america, not just be called it by his buddies.

If I was a minute quicker, I could've been in the final 3. I blame Pi for that! :cmad:

Well that's left up for interpretation then isn't it? I mean I didn't want to argue it because I thought in the event of a tie HH would have won I blanked where you said it would go to sudden death.

Oh well. I just wanted a little verifcation.

I played 5 times (Ugh). Aside from my win and this final 3. The rest of my outings were 8th, 12th and 15th.

You should be happy with 4th.

I know, I just thought it was kinda silly to wait around 7 hours for one question.

I promised you a spot in the final 3. PROMISED! You were guaranteed a spot there. And I would have probally taken you to the final 2 also. All you had to do was simply do as I said, and voted for Erz. :cmad:

I owed it to obey Erz one last time, so I changed my vote to Kipobe. It was making up for past mistakes.

I highly doubt you would've taken me into the final two. Kipobe was telling me a lot about what you were planning to do, etc.

Actually, towards the end of the game we only had I think one day that really went our way... everything after Teddy's day (and inclusive of) was set to screw us... so for either of us to get as far as we did without Brodie, and technically everyone against us (at one point or another), then we should've been gone too, but we survived! 'fire winning immunity and then exiling Jew was bananas... after that, I thought we were done for sure.

That's a perfect example of why being a challenge strong person is important. hippie showed that down the stretch, and that's why he became unkillable. My biggest weakness is challenges... I'm not quick with most of them, and I'm not the most skilled unless I throw my entire time into it... but my time is mainly spent on organizing and planning. I like to have Brodie with me because he's a challenge player, and Erz is too... but myself personally, I'd be screwed.

I dunno, ask TMOB. He is the comic expert in these parts so I don't question his judgement.

I think the Fire winning and Jew being exiled day is a perfect example of why you deserved the win. You not only played the other players to your advantage, you played the rules to your advantage.

To be honest, I was ready to give up that round. And just say screw it. It was Kipobe bringing up JewHob's posts during exile, that gave me renewed vigor.

Right now, I can play again but the constant vigilance towards the end is just tiresome you almost stop caring.

The Story of etm

etm was an ally of mine that I tried to work with because he has had terrible luck with these games. Both times he's played he's been voted out on Day 2... so I said to myself, why not show this guy the ropes and give him some success enough to let him figure out how to play as he got along.

So anyway, it fast became apparent that this was the stupidest person in the world. As Erz and I stated, we orchestrated events to take the captain roles so we could boot who we wanted and keep who we wanted. Even though etm was my ally, I think Erz and I agreed that Erz should take him... so then etm fast became distant from me.

Everytime I contacted him to find out updates in the tribe and to keep good relations he would say things like "um, excuse me... I don't think we're on the same team..." I tried to explain to him that allies were more important that teams, and he'd realize that if we ever do a tribal swap or when the merge hits. He blew me off. So I told him that I had a measure of control whether he stayed or not, and he said there's no way.

Regardless, he was voting correctly most of the time (except for the Sofa thing early on) so I let it slide, but when the merge hit, he was so tied to his former "teammates" that he was completely oblivious to the previous alliance we had set up. I told him he should be happy he made it past day 2, and I told him in a cocky way to say thank you to me. He said there was no way I could've had any control over that, and he told me he was gonna vote off Brodie... I think this was when Venom tried to scare up votes for me. He managed to rally 4 (including himself) but we had 6, so I wasn't worried. All the same, I asked to be exiled, and whoever we chose to go after would have more votes than Brodie so everything was fine.

I warned etm not to go for it... he said he's had a good run and he's proud he made it that far. I told him he could make it further if he listened to me... he said I didn't have any kind of control AGAIN, and then I told him this was his last day. Goodbye.

etm got voted out (obviously) mostly because we wanted him gone before the jury... but also because he was too stubborn and stupid. He PM'd me afterwards and said I wouldn't get very far and the targets were all on me. I knew that, but he didn't know where my connects were and completely underestimated me everyday. If he had listened, maybe he'd of at least made the jury... but he was unstable and stupid.

Moral of the story: don't be like etm... he has no idea how the game works. We should've had him voted off on Day 2 to keep his streak alive. Instead, we kept him... and he learnt nothing.

So I would like to propose this rule from here on out: EVERY game that etm plays in, whoever sees this, VOTE HIM OUT ON DAY 2! I'd like that to be set as a rule... it'll be a reminder of how NOT to play. The day he overcomes being voted out on Day 2 by himself is the day he DESERVES to get further... because he didn't deserve to get further in this game... but he was carried... partially by me... someone he doubted after day one! And he should learn that.

The end.

:cyclops:

ETM was a little TOO loyal. I mean, everything Norman and I were telling him, he'd do, no sweat. It was appreciated, though.

Oh, and Norman and I were talking through the WHOLE game, almost starting from around day one. I know I said we hated each other, but I wanted to throw a smokescreen for a while.

You just said a mouthful right there because that's EXACTLY how I felt when I allied with Toven in the last game I was in. We controlled everyone and everything... all the numbers were in our favor, and if I wanted to be brutal and vote out Toven, then all the numbers were in Brodie and MY favor. The final 7 included Brodie, myself, Venom and rogue_devlin (my crew) and Toven, Jewhob and Kmack.

Toven didn't want to vote off Kmack and I gave in and let all my allies go. Not because I was beat in numbers, but because I didn't have any endurance left... even though all the numbers were in our favor.... and she was such a ***** I just stopped caring.

I always look back at that as the game I should've/could've/would've won, so I took a few games off... hosted one, and now I returned, determined not to fall victim to the same problem.

I'm still amazed Zenien played this game.

I knew Kipobe was hiding a lot from me (and I suspected the same from Jew). So I didn't tell him every single thing. My plan was to get rid of Erz, take you to the final three, win immunity, take you to final two, and then win. I figured I would have lost to both Kipobe and Erz by a vote of 3 to 4 (I didn't see Kipobe winning unanimously, it did surprise me), but I figured I would have won with you on the final two.

I'd rather be in the final four than just have someone say, "Oh, you're coming with me to the finals so I can win, lolz!"

Nah. I wouldn't go with that.

But second place is such an honor :oldrazz:

And it's precisely why I told no one of that plan. :cmad:
