it doesnt matter if you dont know how to play, sign up anyway, and try.
play against me, i dont know what im doing.
You two aren't the only ones. I am one of those people who's never played in my life but I am willing to learn. At least show some effort. I haven't played yet but I've tried one practice game and I ABSOLUTELY suck! I don't have much time to practice while at work but when I'm home, I'm going to keep trying. Giving up before you even try... that's being a 'dead weight', imo. I know I won't get high ratings and because of that, I know there is no chance that I'll be captain, but that's fine with me. I'd rather someone more capable than I am be in charge so I don't screw up for everyone else.So are me and jak out because as it say's in the PM were 'deadweight' because we wont play (because we cant) Matt i dont think you thought this through, Draughts would have been more fitting (its more universal)

To be honest, I'd rather be asked to go out and do something rather than play chess. But that is besides the point. This is our challenge so just... DO IT! At the end of the challenge, you can pat yourself in the back for learning something new. Even if you find out you suck at it. The key is to try and keep on trying until you are sick of it and accept that you suck no matter how hard you try. And then you move on to something else. Like knitting.I concur...at least put forth a little effort to learn. What's the big deal? Its not like you're being asked to go out and physically do something.
No interest and no reason to try. Just because it's there, doesn't mean you have to play it.how is that people have never played chess? it's like been around for ages and is more common than monopoly or card games.![]()
