Yea, a lot of why Robery was so likable was Mark Addy's portrayal. That dude is just awesome.

robert wasn't my favorite, but i def don't hate him like i do some of the others. he at least acknowledged his faults and he didn't make excuses for them. and he was smart enough to set up a council of sorts to help him run the kingdom. or have them do the work while he didn't. whichever way you want to look at it :o

Oh, I hated Robert. Then again I hated almost everyone S1...

ok so i haven't read the books, and if any of you have, you can answer this. is the shows format like 1 season = 1 of the books? i know his books are huge, but like is A Song of Ice and Fire season 1 completely?

According to one source, it's broken down like this:

Season 1 (2011): A Game of Thrones
Season 2 (2012): A Clash of Kings
Season 3 (2013): The first half of A Storm of Swords (aka Steel and Snow)
Season 4 (2014): The second half of A Storm of Swords (aka Blood and Gold)
Season 5 (2015): The beginnings of both A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons

That's semi-accurate, but there was some of AFFC and ADwD mixed into season 4 as well.

Yes CC, it started off being 1 book per season...for the 1st two seasons. From A Storm of Swords onwards, the books just became too huge to fit into one season, so they've started spreading things around and mixing them up to best serve the pacing of the show.

To complicate matters, the 4th and 5th book actually happen over the same period of time (and just cover different characters' storylines), so the writers are having to combine those into the same timeline as well.

JP, [BLACKOUT]what do you think about Jamie now?[/BLACKOUT]

He had so little to do this season that I honestly barely remember what he did. Maybe that's cause I watched S3 in 2 days, so it all went by quickly and I didn't have the opportunity to sit on certain events for a week.

There are a lot of character I still can't stand, and Jamie is certainly one of them, but I legitimately can't think of anything he did that made him worse than anyone else.

I'll either start tonight or tomorrow. :)

flickchick thanks for being one of our den mothers here and answering questions lol

i think e-man gave up on this show. i might watch season 2 sometime this week? we'll see if i can find the time

Not me being the one who started late, had the most problems with the show, and will still probably be done with all 4 seasons by Saturday.

Well it was the season for me where it showed Jamie's lighter side. That he isn't all bad as the others. The scene with Brienne and Jamie in that bathtube was the moment where I became a fan of Jamie.

For those who've finished up Season Three,
who do you hate more? Ramsay or Joffrey?

Who here besides me is #teamDragonstone ?

OMG, I just realized you said Jamie and not Joffrey.

Oh yeah, I quite liked Jaime this season.

Ramsey. As I mistakenly said to Kane above, Joffrey didn't do much of anything in S3 that stood out as being awful.

Though I don't even hate Ramsey! Theon deserved all of that.

I think a bit of it was fine. The mind games and all. He went over the line toward the end.

Honestly, I hated [blackout]Ramsay[/blackout] just because I find him gross AND I find his scenes painfully boring. I REALLY don't care about [blackout]the Boltons[/blackout] at all.

My pleasure! So that makes Kane and Maximus the other den mothers, right? :oldrazz:

Oh, and #teamDragonstone all the way. :hrt:
