... as of May 6th, 2009, at 3:29 pm, I became hooked up to an inulin pump.

When 3:30 came and went on Thursday, May 7th, it was the first time in over 357 months (that'll take you back to end of July, 1979 :wow: ) that an entire 24 hour period came and went without me taking an insulin injection.

The pump cost a billion dollars, and the monthly supplies run around $200, but they say it'll add 15 years to my lifespan....

Too bad, suckers... :oldrazz:

I went from 150 injections/month to 10 injections/month.

My next injection was on Saturday, May 9th, and every 3 days after that.

It's a weird feeling...

I had originally posted this in Community, where I spent many Hype years making friends, but most of my people are here in the Spidey Comics Board, so I'm posting this here for you.

Send money to the Mike 13 Insulin Charity Fund to myself.
Cash only please.

Thanks for listening...

Mike

Now that I read that, I can't seem to get the theme to Terminator out of my head......

That's great news, TMOB.

Aloha,
I wish you many more years of health and happiness.

Thanks guys...

When I told TSoB that I was going to become a cyborg, he seemed disappointed that my face wasn't half robotic with a red eye...

:woot: :woot: :woot:

Well, I can think of better circumstances under which to become a cyborg, but still sounds cool! Best of health to you.

Good to see that your load has been lightened. But do they at least offer you a discount for when Bionic augmentation is made available?

Live long and Prosper Mike.

Well, that's good to hear that you don't have to take as many shots now. Keep going strong, bud.

Thanks again everyone... :yay:

I will...

The funny part is that the pump has about a 4 or 5 year lifespan, so I'll be buying a new one every 4 years... no discounts.
