Yep like I desired to watch a good show... but then I watch AoS. :o

I never found S.H.I.E.L.D. that interesting in comics, didn't see reason to try to follow the show
Coulson doesn't help either

Agents of SHIELD leaves a lot to be desired.

Let's just say it. It's got all the quality of a homeschool play.

Edit: I meant to say high school play, but my tablet changed it to homeschool. Apparently it's more critical of the show than I am.

I feel like asking my friends if they are doing anything for New Years, but at the sametime I feel like just staying home all day.

Then do so. You might enjoy yourself.

Is SHIELD any good? It doesn't look anything like what I'd want from a SHIELD TV series from the bits I've seen.

Haven't watched the watch yet.

I read the comics & found them interesting.

Some shows are best taken in by gulps, not sips, lol. That is one of them. :)
Yeah, I think you really see the momentum and progression build effectively and quickly this way.
I think it's been so-so so far. The stories aren't all too engaging. The characters to me, outside of Coulson and May, aren't interesting either. And fight choreography leaves a lot to be desired compared to a show like Arrow.
What kind of villains does it have? It just seemed like a bunch of good looking ultra-styled (just-out-of) high school kids trying hard to act in an organisation in which they have no business being in.

Which SHIELD? The Marvel one or the cop show? I was talking about the cop show The Shield which is where Kurt Sutter, the writer for Sons of Anarchy cut his teeth. That show was about bad cops and it was great. I don't watch the Marvel one but my sister really likes it.
Sorry, the Marvel one. Didn't know about the cop show. I didn't see Sons of Anarchy either but quite a few people have recommended it.

Well none of this is helping SHIELD's chances of getting seen by me. :woot:

I like Coulson though.

Haha, I think that seals the deal. Looks pretty unanimous.

The show does basically feel like two supervisors with their school kids on a field trip. We got the origin of a very powerful comic villain, though he's yet to make his return with his powers. Otherwise we've got suits and secret organizations trying to create super soldiers.

The show is a lot more restricted than Arrow, as everyone and everything that gets introduced on the show, automatically becomes part of the whole MCU. But that's not really the problem. The issue is simply that it's not very well written, and at times feels too kiddy, with 3 members of the team that are pretty much green and not accustomed to field missions.

Well he said he was doing things with family, so I won't go unless he begs me or if my other friends go. It might just be me, but going to a family gathering as a friend would sorta be awkward.

I say wait till it gains more seasons and binge watch it. But there are a handful of shows on TV right now that I find more entertaining.

Then get together with your family.

Well I am with my family, and I do enjoy that, but I've never been to a friends party for NYE which is why part of me is interested in it.

LOLs. :p

Both shows are good if you like dark and gritty, lol. :)

Me, too which was why I was tempted to watch the show but there are too many others I'd rather see right now. Maybe it was for the best that I skipped it.

Why did they want to put a school vibe to the whole thing at all? If anything I would have wanted it to be grittier than what happens in the films. The underground spy stuff that doesn't get released to the public where the main characters have questionable methods and aren't so obviously good guys. And the characters should look hardened from the things they've done rather than fresh out of a salon.

Yeah I'll be waiting, and I'll only be binge-watching or watching at all if it turns out to be awesome one day. Only have so much life to waste! What are you watching at the moment?

I like the show, it's not deep television but it's fun and I like some of the characters. It's pretty much following the first season formula of any network tv show, i expect it to improve in season 2.

I've been binging The West Wing for the past month or so.

Other than that I watch: The Daily Show w/ J. Stewart, The Colbert Report, Late Night w/ J. Fallon, Arrow, Grimm, AHS: Coven, The Americans, HIMYM, Community, AoS, The Walking Dead, South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, SNL, The Goldbergs, Bones, Sleepy Hollow, Elementary, Sherlock, Almost Human, Dracula, Hannibal, Bates Motel, and I think that's everything.

Wow, thought I was the only one who watched that much, lol. I watch Sons of A, Hannibal, Walking Dead, Major Crimes, Blacklist, Game of Thrones, True Blood, The Following, Vikings, Justified, Hell on Wheels, Coven, Ray Donovan, Homeland. Plus I am thinking of picking up True Detectives and Penny Dreadful, whenever that starts. I watch too much, lol......

Wow that is a lot! I struggle to keep track of just the few shows I try and watch.

You ever watch The Americans? Looking at your list I think you would enjoy it.
