I got my first job!!! :)

Last summer I worked as a security guard. I was paid 10 dollars an hour, 40 hours a week, to sit in my car and watch a fence. All I had to do was make sure no mischief was going on, and of course nothing ever happened. So I was paid 400 dollars a week to sit in my car, listen to music, draw, and read.
Dude that's so awsome! What exactly were you guarding? Also did anyone ever check up on you?

The biggest problem was that I had to ask to go to the bathroom. No one should ever have to ask to go to the bathroom, it's inhuman. It's like in highschool when you really had to pee and asked the teacher, and they denied you the right to relieve yourself because they were talking about blah blah or because too many people have already gone.
i'd just leave if I had to go that bad

It was at a Colgate distribution center. They recently had a truck 'stolen' (though I think it was just a paper mistake) So they locked up the back gate and placed a guard there. All the guard had to do was make sure no one jumped the fence.
Now, this fence was chain locked shut, about 8 feet high, and had 2 giant truck trailers parked infront of it to prevent any problems. So the guard was there for little reason.

Sadly by the time I got hired and put there, one of the back guards had fallen asleep so they forced us to radio in and say "Checking with recieving." ever 15 minutes, which was annoying at first but after awhile you didn't even notice it. But otherwise there wasn't any interaction with anyone.

On weekends, there wasn't even anyone to check in with, so it was rediculous(ly awesome).

Shortly before I quit at the end of summer to go back to college, another guard fell asleep and they added a walking tour to the list of duties, which again wasn't terrible, but wasn't fun in the summer heat.

All in all, be a security guard (Securitas is the company I worked for) if you want an easy easy job that pays pretty well for what you do.
