Comics i got two TPB's for Easter

my parents hand over a bag in the morning and some candy, and i look inside the back and notice they are TPB's. my parents had gone to a comic shop and asked what the best ones were, and the guy suggested these 2, so they bought them. i pull them out and start laughing. my dad asks "do u already have those?"
"no" i say, still laughing
"whats so funny then?"
the 2 TPB's they gave me were Sins Past and the Other. i couldnt believe my luck, especially after hearing how the guy at the counter said they were the 2 best ones... maybe he was trying to get rid of them anyway i just told my dad that they were actually like the 2 worst written arcs ever, and hes like oh ok il get u the reciept. LOL man i havent read these just cuz what iv heard on the boards here, i know what happens in both anyway but wow i took a quick flip through Sins Past, and Pete is telling MJ at the end that pretty much means he loves Gwen more then her, and i was just like yep these r going back. anyway i thought it was a funny story to share with u guys.

It does sound like the guy at the comic book store was trying to get rid of them if he thinks those are the best ones. But at least you still have the receipts so you can exchange them for better ones.

so i returned them today, and the owner couldnt believe i didnt want them. same with another dude in the store. anyway i swapped for the spiderman human torch mini and watchmen. i read the first spidey/torch comic and it was awesome, and from what i've heard i wont be disappointed with watchmen

Personally if I could wipe Sins Past and The Other from my memory I’d be a happy man.
Having not read em is a blessing far as I can see.

sins past WAS lame, but at least i read it first to decide for myself that it was lame. i didnt just not read because everyone told me it sucked.

i mean, whats the point of reading comics anyway if your just going to read stuff that OTHER poeple tell you was awesome?
