I swim a lot at beaches. I love it. But this summer i am very concerned, more than normal about great whites. They are everywhere it seems! What do? Do i give up my passion because of this fear or keep swimming? Cape cod by the way

Hey! Worst case scenerio if you do get eaten by Great White, you can die the same way as this dude.

....but in honesty. Your chances of being attacked are like....non existent.

Dude,
Sounds like you have OCD.
See a therapist who can do CBT.

There was an 18 footer stuck in a bog a few years ago up here. Seals all over the place.

Just remember that the chances of this happening are 0%. Unless it does happen... then it's 100%.

On the bright side, eaten by sharks is probably one of the most badass ways to die.

Sharks are everywhere, and they always have been. Don't let it stop you from enjoying swimming.

Go to a pool.

Just make sure you have large bloody pieces of tuna and squid tied to your body when you go swimming. They hate that.

Statistically, you are in more danger of dying by bee sting than by a shark attack. You should be more afraid of a tiny insect.

Got invited to beachswim this weekend. I may face my fears now. Or i may not

Have local beach authorities taken any action that's more than normal to respond to a rise in risk...or has it been this was for a while and it's just now that the concern is hitting you?

Watch some episodes Street Sharks that will help you get over your fears ;)

...but don't google image search Street Sharks! I did that last week and found a disturbing image of all the Street Sharks...getting intimate with each other.

Seriously though, sharks are cool. For one thing, you would probably never know you're about to be attacked until it's all over.

Great whites aren't going to be around Cape Cod. The water is too cold.

Anyway, sharks aren't so scary.

Yeah, but sharks are at the statistical disadvantage of not being where we are 99.9% of the time. I don't think a bee would sting him underwater.
