however Raimi wants to stay true to the comic and Singer does not, Singer makes Krypton still exist, just extinct, Superman has a kid, not in the comic book, Superman has many flaws, as does Spiderman, but Spiderman is faithful to the comic and Singer's movie is faithful to him and turns its back on the fans. Spiderman will be handled well, Superman will be fun to watch at times, and pretty I am sure...but Spiderman will rock....

(Gee, just like in the comics!)

Camp (or better will be if I say insane) villian? Yep, GG and Lex Luthor.
(Gee, just like in the comics!)

Resbonsibilty? Yep again, Uncle Ben and Jor-El (or Jonathan Kent).
(Gee, just like in the comics!)

Newspaper? Jameson (Daily Bugle) and Perry WHite (Daily Planet).
(Gee, just like in the comics!)

Suit? Blue and Red (Spidey) and Blue and Red (Supes).
(Gee, just like in the comics!)

Choice? MJ or people in carriage (Spidey) and Lois or earthquakes (Supes).
(Hero has to make a choice or a sacrifice. You're right, that has happened only these 2 times in the history of cinema!)

Also: Aunt May and Martha Kent.

So as we can see Spidey has the same formula, which STM had.

Superpowers? Spidey losses them and Supes just dont want to be kryptonian anymore.
(Spidey's loss is involuntary, Supes is voluntary)

Box Office? Less than Spidey 1, but still very good and less than Supes, but still very good.

But Spidey 3 has something that didn't has Supes 3, 4 supervillians.
(I thought Lex Luthor was a supervillain. You said so in Superman 1. And ol' Lex baby is in 4)


But there is one question, will Spidey 3 be disappointment like Supes 3 was?

Thank you for helping me further prove my point that all the whiners on here that say "Raimi" is stealing from Superman(Donner) is hogwash. Almost every similarity you cite comes directly from the comics. So if you want to scream plagiarism, aim it at the comics writers.

Just because they all initally come from the comics doesn't diminish the similarities between the two films series. He's simply pointing out the coincidence of them all happening in the same order both time. Lana Lang and Gwen Stacy are both in the comics, but did they both show up in the third story arc of their respective character in the comics?

You have to admit, these two do seem rather similar. Hero is created, Hero gives up his powers to be normal, but regains them to fight the villain, Hero is affected by some substance, causing him to fight an evil version of himself, while also dealing with a new love interest. Which series does that sound like?

Actually supes 3 did have four villains: Webster, Robotic Girl, Computer Geek, and Evil Superman.

Some other similarities with Supes 3 and Spider 3

A. Superman, after being bad, must fight himself and finally defeat the evil version to become the original superman again.

A. Spiderman, after being bad, must fight the symbiote within himself, and finally defeats the symbiote and throws it off, to become the original spider-man again.

B. The computer geek who wants to exact revenge on superman for ruining his career plots to kill him, but in the end redeems himself by saving superman as he is being hurt by kryptonite.

B. The green goblin who wants revenge on spider-man for killing his father plots to kill him, but in the end redeems himself by saving spider-man as he is being hurt by Venom.

Superman will be good, Spider-Man will rule. For the record, I love Superman 3 and 4, they're fun to watch. Batman Forever though, sucks.
