I look like a drug addict

My job has my sitting on my arse all day doing nothing... and let me tell you, it's the most exhausting job in the world. Much more exhausting than the other more active jobs I have had.

People underestimate how tiring it is doing absolutely NOTHING for long periods of time. Your body basically just goes into sleep mode, but you aren't allowed to sleep so your fighting it all the time.

I have an office job too . . . it's a different kind of "tired"; the point is he needs to physically work out that stress . . . it will help him sleep better

Oh I don't disagree. I just know that kind of tiredness doesn't exactly have you leaving the office raring to get on down the gym... :(

You think working in an office is tiring? Try digging holes all day! :D

But i get what you mean, I imagine sitting at a computer all day is mentally exhausting.

Oh no, no computer. They don't give enough of a hoot about this office to even give us a card machine, let alone a computer.

I actually signed up for a blackberry contract after two weeks in this office, because I knew if I didn't have something to do all day I'd go insane!

It's not just mental exhaustion... It's a physical thing. When you aren't doing anything with your body, your bloods pumping slower, your feeling sluggish etc.

Not to mention the fact it's 12 degrees in here and I'm sat pretty much on top of the only little heater we have :(

I think I'd take the digging holes!

lol well it's keep you warm that's for sure :D

I've worked in an office before, I couldn't hack it. It was driving me mad. All cooped up inside all day. Ugh.

I wouldn't mind working in an office if it:

-was properly heated
-had a kettle and microwave that weren't full of mould
-had hot running water to wash your hands with after going to the toilet
-had other people working in it too
-had remotely enough work to keep me occupied

But nope, I'm just sat at my desk, shivering, alone, and with nothing to take my mind off it but just continuing to press the refresh button on the new posts page of this forum :p

Oh woe is me :p

Awww i feel bad for ya. So you're in the office... on your own? Is it like a one person company or something? :D

Lol no, the main office is in another town, but they have a little one here for people's convienience.

I used to work in the main office, but they transferred me down here when the 57 year old lady who ran this office got ill.

And it's really a case of out of sight out of mind.

:( Damn. Well, at least it's a job right? Could be worse. My next job doesn't start till the end of the month. It's weird, when i was working i was looking forward to a few weeks off, but now i'm bored out of my ****ing mind! lol

Yeah I get bored real quick too.

And your right, it is a job, and it's not like I dread going into work that much, so that's something :p

and that's why I make time in the morning to work out :cwink:

i had the same look going on i would get people asking if i were on drugs which i was not not even weeeed/

I was 129 pounds i hardly ate, my evil step mom actually put a lock on the fridge at home and would even throw out left overs so i couldnt eat.
i'm 5'11 i had dark rings around my eyes very pale meak, always on the computer.

i now weigh 160 pounds its odd i still feel like that skinny kid, but i'm pretty built and strong looking.

i did it with protein shakes. i would eat 200 grams of protien a day and eat up to 3thousand calories.
working out eating right drinking water eating lots of protein. I look like a different human being.
its pretty shallow how different women treat me from being skinny to being average weight. i would even say i never got to date girls that looked like you when i was thin i'm still the same person but thats not enough for some people.

do it for yourself to feel better and healthier. good luck bud do good!
