I need a couple tips on weathering clothing.

I'm looking into how to weather my clothing for my joker costume so it seems similar to the movies.
I know the lady who worked on terminator 2 and she said what they did for Arnolds leather jacket was lay them on the floor and walk on them for weeks as they shot between films.

But is there any other ideas on weathering cloth?
