omg i love the sex scene! and no not just b/c bale is naked. it is hilarious the way he watches himself, b/c you know all men want to do that every stinkin time.
and yeah the book, there were many times i just had to stop reading. esp after the kid in the park.
and overrated are you kidding me?!

I still think that AP is Bale's best acting performance. It was disturbingly hilarious. Oddly enough, I bought the book last week, I just haven't read it yet.

I agree.

The movie certainly has a lot of darkly comic moments, but wouldn't classify it as a comedy so much...maybe, because I think I would definitely consider it social satire. I haven't read the book, but from what I understand, it shares a lot of social commentary with the film. That's really what I feel to be the films strongest point. The director Mary Heron seems to have understood that, where I think the point of the book may be lost on a lot of people becaause of the level of viloence.
