I started my own webcomic

^yeah, I kinda messed up on coloring that one, i think. In the last panel, that white stuff next to her is supposed to be her breath, but everyone thinks it's spooge. :o

Thanks! My life is now complete :D

Any film suggestions, anyone? Our next strip will be on Dark City, but after that I'm not sure...

I have a great idea for The Game, starring Michael Douglas, but I'm not sure if many people have seen that.

I'd think more people have seen The Game than Dark City.

Vice versa for me. And you can always go for irony and make fun of the people who make those stupid "Epic/Superhero/Disaster" movies. I have a feeling they spend a lot of time on the internet.

... I'd like to think they're beneath us, lol :D. I don't know, hopefully our jokes are better than theirs. We could call the strip NOT ANOTHER "'MOVIE' MOVIE" MOVIE.

Looking at my DVD shelf, here's some ideas for ya:

A Beautiful Mind
American Psycho
Apocolypse Now
Blade Runner
Chinatown
Cloverfield
Dune (David Lynch version)
Fight Club
Harry Potter series
Pulp Fiction
Predator
Robocop
The Running Man

Hope that helps. :)

Good picks! (though we've already done Fight Club). I've had an idea for a Pulp Fiction strip for a few weeks, but decided to save it for later. Instead we went with Kill Bill.

I think between me and Jon, we own most of those. Eventually, we'll get through all of em. First, we've got a Clockwork Orange strip coming up, and then Lord of the Rings.

That Pulp Fiction joke is impossible; we've been working on that one almost since the beginning of the comic. It obviously would have to be about what's in the briefcase, and it's not like there hasen't been enormous speculation on that already. It has to be shocking, obvious, amazing, absurd and original all at once and that's going to be hard to deliver.

it doesnt matter, creativity must not be stifled! :cmad:

^ Even so, I think I'll save it for when I at a loss of ideas for more popular movies.
We just put up a Lord of the Rings strip, I'd post it here, but I'm thinking maybe it's too racy for posting, even more than our spidey one :o

Aaaaaand another comic-movie inspired strip:

Hey, guys, it's been awhile but I thought I'd show you our latest superhero film parody!

(All the images in the previous posts have different urls since we switched to comicpress, so be sure to check out the other superhero stuff we've done at the site.)

Thanks, spiderbat

Here's my blog post that went with it:

Go with me on this one, folks:

If I remember correctly, Bryan Singer stated during production of the film that “Superman Returns” continues the continuity of “Superman” and “Superman II.”

In “Superman II,” Lois Lane and Supes do the nasty (for the first and only time) after he uses a Kryptonian machine that strips him of his powers. At the end of that movie, he uses the machine to get his powers back and defeat General Zod. He also erases Lois Lane’s memory of his secret identity and their intimate encounter by kissing her. (Yeah, weird…)

In “Superman Returns,” when the super-kid kills that henchman with the piano, Lois realized without a doubt that he was the son of Superman. But if you remember, Superman erased her memory of the kid’s conception! Shouldn’t she have been wondering how his super-sperm knocked her up?

The movie tries to play it off by referencing Lois’ article titled “My Night With Superman.” But if you remember from Superman I, that article was about Lois’ first interview with him, not some steamy sexual rendezvous.

So, what I want to know is, how come Lois didn’t cry “Rape!” And how come the writers didn’t catch this plot hole?

When viewed back to back like this, I realize now the X-Men strip and the Sin City strip have an extremely similar theme. Oops :o

Not sure if anyone even cares anymore... but I guess I'll post our latest one here anyway.
