I want a Batwing film

After this latest cycle of Batman films is done with Dark Knight Rises, then the franchise can spin off the new Batwing character that Grant Morrison created, the Batman of a fictional African country. The way the comics are unfolding so far, Batman can have a cameo role (Christian Bale), and the main character, David Zavimbe, can be played by Chiwitel Eijofor.

The overall budget can probably be cut in half, provided they bring in some solid character actors instead of ultra-expensive A-list people.. The villain can be Massacre, played by Djimon Honsou..

Africa is a continent, not a country.

I haven't read Batwing yet but it's a little effed up if he has to protect an entire continent whereas Batman is responsible for a single city.

I'd watch it, in a heartbeat. I think that most people would not though. A black knock-off Batman as a main? It's hard to get around that stigma, because that's what he *is*, even if he is awesome. I think it would need a relatively small indie budget to turn around right.
