I finally, finally after weeks of searching find a Batman Movie Masters. Great, I get it hom, crack it open, and the cape isn't glued on or anything. It's just a serperate piece with no way to connect.

I call the number on the bottom of the package. They cannot replace the figure because they don't have the ability to. They have no warehouse, nothing.

He can instead give me a voucher for $12 for Mattel products. I explain it took me months to find even one of these and he himself admits they don't have anymore. What am I going to do with a Mattel voucher? Fine I don't want this anymore, I'll send it to you, you just refund my money. These jerks can't even just give me a straight refund just a coupon.

I will buy no more Movie Masters or anything else from Mattel. I am now eagerly anticipating my Hot Toys Joker from a company that actualy cares about themselves and the people they serve.

Mattel is such a well known brand that makes dozens of childrens products, you really think one buyer less is going to hurt their sales?

Yes... I really do... Of course I don't idiot, I'm giving others here who might buy from them a heads up as to the way they handle there problems, so others are aware they may not be able to get a broken or damaged figure replaced.

I don't think it's nice to resort to name calling over this business....I mean it's just Mattel, and let's be honest, we've all been ragging on them pretty bad here lately do to the Movie Masters fiasco. I just don't think it's nice to call someone else an idiot, over something like this. I hate to bring out my inner hippy, but I will if necessary. Can't we all just get along? :woot:

Hey, at least it's not Hasbro with their crappy Hulk movie line that looks like it was approved for mass production by someone with cross-eyes who wanted the cheapest looking product he could get. The movie masters line smokes anything Marvel has done with Hasbro by miles. Get some 5 minute epoxy and tack that cape down, and be thankful for what you got.

Sorry to hear about you getting a bad figure but "stuff" happens.

But, I do agree that Mattel is SO HUGE that they don't care. Personally, I always thought that Mattel's products are usually pretty good, for the price you pay.

Just give the toy to some kid, he'll appreciate it!

Mattel could do better with alot of things(especially their own website, that thing is freakin' garbage!)

I feel Scarface's pain here. However, I've not had similar problems, and I just grabbed two Scarecrows yesterday at a local Target. There were also a few Jokers, which floored me.

As for the cape problem, I'd go with The Red Hood's recommendation. Make a cloth cape from some fabric, pipe cleaners, and thread. It's easy.

I think the rubber cape actually looks better on the figure than the crappy cloth ones they usually use for the 5" figs!

the only problem i've had with any of my MM is my first TDK suit batman had 2 right feet.

not so funny if you were as excited as i was when i found him.

but that was back when the thugs and batmans were just warming the pegs.

I would be upset, but it depends cause I always buy two of each MM, one for out of the box on display and one in the box, so I would've checked them like I always do to make sure the one on display is better.

well when i found my begins suit Batman there were 2 left....and i checked their feet before i bought one and sure enough the one i didn't buy had 2 of the same feet.
