I Would...But I Know Where The Wrestling Thread Has Been

My guess is Mistico won't come back and Hunico will play Sin Cara until WWE drops the character. Hunico is good but he's no Mistico.

I think we should all place bets on how long Cara will last in WWE.

Its typical WWE BS. The only thing they can blame him for is the Wellness violation. Most of the other heat is nonsense. They came up with the stupid trampoline intro and lighting.

And the guy is used to wrestling a more Mexican style...how do they expect him to adapt to WWE style so easily?

I think they had expectations that were to big to start with. They need to give Sin Cara time to find his groove. Sadly as soon as they signed him I figured WWE would mess it up somehow. He's not the first foreign star they dropped the ball on.

If Hunico sticks around as Sin Cara I just don't think its going to work as well long term. He simply can't physically do the things Sin Cara can and thats what made Mistico/Sin Cara so interesting in the first place.

The lighting needs to go, it's annoying.

I remember back in 2003 when they hired Ultimo Dragon. Guy only lasted a year I think.
They want the next Rey and when they don't get that right away, these masked guys get dropped.

Dragon was great during his WCW run. I wish he had stayed around longer in WWE.

I like it. I like it a lot

Last week on SmackDown, we saw developmental wrestler Hunico make his WWE television debut, donning the mask of Sin Cara while the original Sin Cara (Luis Ignascio / Mistico) finishes up this 30-day suspension this week.

A WWE source has informed us that it was in fact Hunico working as Sin Cara once again at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings from Bakersfield, Californi set to air on Syfy this Friday night.

Luis Ignascio, will be eligible to return to WWE this weekend but many are questioning whether he'll be brought back at all. After a rocky start in WWE over the past several months due to blown spots, poor matches and an overall underwhelming rookie year, the original Sin Cara reportedly has "nuclear" backstage heat on him

That's awful. Jericho had a bad first year with WWE and several incidents but no drug suspension. Mistico will probably be gone very shortly.

Chris Jericho Speaks on WWE/PG, CM Punk Storyline & More

by Nick Paglino
August 17, 2011

It’s been just over 12 years since Chris Jericho made his debut in the WWE, dubbing it “Raw is Jericho” and verbally sparring with The Rock. Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com spoke with Chris as he remembers that debut, how he never got caught up in crazy storylines during the Attitude Era, the current CM Punk angle, if John Cena should turn heel, the latest projects he’s working on, his upcoming Fozzy tour in the UK and more.

Here are some excepts from the interview:

On whether or not if feels like 12 years since he made his WWE debut on Raw

"It doesn't really seem like it was 12 years unless I think really hard about all the stuff that's taken place since then. But I can remember writing that promo that I did like it was yesterday in the apartment I was in on the floor, just kind of writing down ideas and writing out the whole promo because back in that time there was no writers or creative as they call it. It was basically you were just on your own. You might have a couple of ideas to throw around but most of it was just coming from your own brain and just saying it the way you wanted to say it. There was no rehearsals or anything like that. You would just go out there and do it. So that's the biggest change between the WWE in 2011 and the WWE of 1999."

On the current PG-13 programming in WWE:

"I don't care about PG-13 or Attitude Era. If you're a great performer, you can make it work no matter what it is. And I never really cared because I might have gone 5% into the Attitude Era or 5% into the overly PG era but I pretty much just did my thing and made it work with whatever was given to me by the boss of the company. That's a copout if people say 'well, I don't like it because it's PG-13 or I can't work within the PG-13 system'. That's BS. It doesn't matter. If you're a good guitar player, you can play Van Halen or Georg Jensen jazz. It's just an excuse."

On simplistic storylines and playing into the current one with CM Punk:

"That's what it's always been about man. It's always been about that and the best guys can do that no matter what rules or guidelines are given to them. That's why the Punk thing worked so good because it was something different. It was Punk vs. the status quo of the WWE. It wasn't so much the insider topics. I'm sure guys like you and me thought that was funny but your average person doesn't have a clue about stuff like that. They just know that Punk is doing something he's not supposed to be doing and saying something he's never said before. That's also why I don't think the thing (Kevin) Nash worked out so well this week because they went too inside."

Don't like either of those covers.

Who is Catwoman in the Divas pic?

Vivid Video might take her up on that.

I think Melina might work better at Elegant Angel. :woot:

Its like Mankind...if Mankind had a hot body.

I saw this pic the other day, what's the deal with the new gimmick?

WWE need to remember that Rey came already full tuned up on how to work in US wrestling, Cara is trying to learn and in truth he does stuff that is simply not workable with most of the guys he is put in with.

Maria, Beth and Candica with Carlito wanting in between that hot triumvirate. :awesome:

I wonder which bit he is referring to as I didn't think it was overly shooty.

Neither do I. WWE can do better

Shes suffering some kind of facial paralysis and using the mask to cover it. The storyline excuse is its a protective mask after she got her jaw and orbital bone fractured in a fight she and Rosita had with Tara and Ms Tessmacher

Any more details on that?

What the ...... ?

Those look like bootleg photo shop covers.

Speaking of bad covers I just purchased the Money in the Bank dvd , it's a bad cover imo but at least Punk is featured.

It's hilarious Vince thought that was like best thing ever. Maybe he should bring Maven back and give him a push. He has tons of experience plugging products on live TV.

Melinas reps are asking for $3000 per appearance plus first class travel and accomadations

:lmao:

oh sweetie.....I don't think you realize how far you've fallen

She actually thinks she's worth that much?

Best Melina can get is $500 per match. She'd best haul herself to TNA before her value drops any further. Maybe TNA would use her for a match or two before releasing her.

I say in a year she'll be at a table at comic-con. Hope she saved her money.
