Having just watched SR i honestly think it has some of the best iconic shots of any comic book movie

The Shot of supes releasing the Shuttle into space

Landing the plane in the Ballpark

Standing in the doorway of the plane as the crowd welcomes him back

The shot of Lois and Supes floating up around the globe

the shot of Supes being re-powered by the sun

And my favourite-pulling half of the yacht out of the ocean followed by the best shot of all,Lois/Richard/Jason holding onto Superman as he pulls his family to safety,so much of the story adds to making this image iconic IMO

add your favs:)

Glad you enjoyed it Hunter Rider.

There were so many iconic moments in the film but to me, this scene is the most iconic Superman scene caught on film so far:

I think the most iconic shot in the whole movie, is when supes drops the boat, and you get a half shot of supes from below, holding the Lane family in one hand. What a great shot

Although alot might not think of it as iconic, I do:

When he's leaning over Jason's bed giving the speech.

Also the ice breath under ground scene.

i wish i had the whole scene of the sun recharge in gif..my favorite moment

I can encode it for you. Its awesome. Even the scene before that:

"I have to go back.."

"Goodbye Lois"

You could feel the greatness of Superman and everything he stood for.

the 2 iconic shots that stand out is.....

1. When Superman is floating over earth listening.... everytime i see that shot i gasp

2. The Father to Son speech... i still tear up like a ***** when i see it

The three most iconic shots in my opinion are:

1) Superman hovering over earth and listening.
2) Superman lowering the DP Globe after catching it.
3) Superman recharging himself using the sun.

Oh theres another I forgot:

Action Comics #1 baby. It doesnt get more iconic than this.

I'd say

1)Superman flying to the sun recharging. (Gave me chills all 4 times I've seen it, with that music in the background)
2)Superman hovering in space
3)Superman lifting new krypton
4)Superman throwing new krypton into space then passing out, floating out in space and then falling from the sky
5)The plane sequence
6) The Action Comics #1 nod
7)Supes talking to Jason at the end.

Oh yeah i should have mentioned that one,it was stunning watching him fall from the sky with minimum sound ,just the air passing by:up:

No matter what some people have to say about Singer and his crew, which most of I don't agree with, he gave us stunning imagery.

Superman recharging his powers using the sun and him hovering over the earth listening for trouble. That is some great insight to the character of Superman, which hasn't been on screen as far as I know?

Definately. It was such a great moment, we got so many things, as showtime mentioned, that we've never seen in a Superman film before. To some these things didn't matter at all (obviously) but I think they were some of the best shots in any superhero flick. Very iconic.

I love the above earth shot.. its the Brando voice in the back ground that makes it even more iconic.

All these great images everyone mentions just makes the failure of the film more disturbing. There truly were some great shots, but it's like having a cake made of dog crap and topped with the great icing and chocolate sprinkles. It still will taste like crap, even if it has some nide stuff here and there.

I suggest you see a psychiatrist. It's really unhealthy that you have to rip the film apart with EVERY post.

Yeah, it's much healthier for people to get so emotional about a negative post on a discussion board.

I'm not getting emotional. I'm just concerned about your mental health.

Maybe it's a bit different in the UK, but here, when you make a joke about a film you were dissapointed in on a discussion board you don't get put in a straight jacket.

Did anyone catch the great lighting when Superman descended into the Fortress of Solitude? The shadows gave it a Jim Lee-esque look in my opinion.

You keep on talking about this being a discussion board, but you aren't doing any real discussion. You're just bashing the film every chance you get.

And using where I come from as a rebuttal? WEAK.
