Days of Future Past Ideal sequel cast... (may contain spoilers)

No Wolverine as the protagonist. He is already the main character for 5 films . Isn't that enough ?

The sequel should remain a movie about Xavier and Magneto.

well he did basically defeat charles xavier and magneto in first class so yeah he is the protagonist in First Class... LOL

Oh joy, a bump to the still ******ed joke.

And I just contributed as well.........DAMMIT!:cmad:

I must admit, I'm not all too excited about the new Wolverine film, they lost the last of my respect when they served Origins up. I like Hugh Jackman, I like the comic character of Wolverine, but it got all got a little overused for my liking.

Returning to the subject at hand, I think they mentioned possibly using Alex as Scott's father? Strange, it just doesn't feel right. But perhaps it'll be fine if they do it well. I don't know, I'm of two minds about the idea.

Nah, they're just gonna make Alex the older brother if anything.

Relief! That would be just too strange, and that would change the whole family tree thing they have going. Poor Polaris, I have no idea where she'd fit in if they did that XD

I could not agree more. Literally.

Looking forward to "The Wolverine", nonetheless, but yes, please keep it about Magneto and Prof. X.

Would love to see Iceman, but that ain't happening without some sub-plot explaining Time travel and an alternate reality. :p

I want to see Archangel. Since this film seems to throw "Last Stand" out of the continuity, considering that Prof. X is walking at the beginning of Last Stand, I think it's possible to Archangel in First Class 2.

I think the dude that played The Spirit (Gabriel-something) would be good as Archangel, might be a little old for the role, though.

I can only imagine what the backdrop of the sequel would be. Cuban Missile Crisis is in First Class, so maybe the Assassination of JFK for First Class 2.

I largly agree.I have mentioned First Class seems like prequel to only X-Men and X2.

Angel wouldn't be Introduced till final part of trilogy with Cyclops,Jean, and Storm.Considering there Is no commantary on First Class blu-Ray/DVD I don't think they want to address contunity questions beyond the official from Bryan Singer It's a prequel
sticking to a certain timeline(Most Likely X-Men and X2) but with some liberties being taken.

I see the second part of possable trilogy focusing on Magneto's attacks on humans. The opening could be(Especilly If Matthew Vaughn returns to direct) The Brotherhood Is responable for the JFK Assassination and then cut to some point In the Nixon years.Just like part 1 started In 1944 and then went to 1962.

Throwing The Last Stand out also means In second film you could have WOlverine In extended cameo. You could have preadamanturm Wolverine as special operative sent to take out Magneto and he would cross paths with X-men.It would get around beast not knowing him In Last Stand with throwing It out and It would tie In to X2 which hinted Xavier and Magneto know more about Wolverine's past. Also Vaughn talked about doing a flashforward with Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellan for sequel.

I found Angel rather disopointing in X3. His small part potrayed him as boring and shy. Also Angel is supposed to be this stunningly beautiful man, which (although his actor was good-looking) he was not.

Yeah Angel was supposed to be a richman with lots of confidence.

Yup, and Scott already cameo'd in Charles' cerebro vision.
Buuut the problem is that if he's appearing at this point, he would be at LEAST 50 in the older movies. I think he's meant to be in his early 30's. So he wouldn't even have been born yet at the time of XMFC. Pretending he didn't have the cerebro cameo, Alex would work much better as his father than his older brother.

They could be half-brothers; Alex's father could have had Alex very young with one woman and Scott much later in his life. I've known people who have had siblings 30 years older than they are for reasons like that.

Yeah, the age issues bothered me a bit in general. I get that they thought it would be fun to have Storm and Scott as swift "Cerebro" cameos...but it's 1962. If Storm and Scott are about ten in 1962, that means they're 50 by the time of the original X1 and X2 films. Plus, there's only 18 years difference between them and Professor Xavier? Seriously?

No, I didn't like that. I realize there's some continuality issues between FC and the other 2 films (Magneto helping Xavier build Cerebro, for example), but that's just because the FC story wouldn't have worked otherwise. To add contradictions for such little details like seeing Storm/Scott in the Cererbro visions just seems pointless.

Again, other than the N*Sync song in X2, both X1 and X2 can easily be taking place in the 90s.

young toad

and they need a quicksilver.

why hasn't the brotherhood made a proper appearance in any x-men film?

Nah, no Quicksilver. In this continuity it seems that neither Mags nor X have any kids. Which is fine by me.
