If God were in your shoes would he be any better of a human being?

If God were in your shoes...

  • He's be a worse person (adjustment issues)

  • He'd be a better person (aka "I don't want to get hit be lightning")

  • He'd be about the same in terms of quality

Keep in mind he doesn't have his superpowers (reality alteration, super-intelligence, awesome beard, burrito enhancement etc).

The thread title doesn't make sense, am I God? Or is God supposed to be just a regular guy? Is it Old Testament God or New Testament God?

Either way, probably not. I'm pretty awesome as it is.

At least then he'd be real. (Yeah, I went there...)

Lets assume there is a God to avoid that circular argument.

guy 1 - "God isn't real!"

guy 2 - "Prove it!"

guy 1 -"Nuh uh, you prove it first!"

If God were in my shoes, it would certainly end the argument, wouldn't it? Of course, then he'd have none of his powers anymore and really not be a God anymore, so maybe it wouldn't end that argument. :)

He'd for sure be a better person. Considering he is God, he'd surely know the quirks and flaws of mankind and learn to work around them.

I didn't say that the argument would end with a definitive answer, only that it wouldn't be circular like a "is there a God" debate.

Even if his IQ dropped by 20,000%?

You need intelligence or knowledge is pretty much useless.

If God were in a Swedish Supermodel Prostitute's shoes would he give better, or worse $400 hand jobs?
Or would they be about the same in terms of quality?

Wait, so God would lose his knowledge? Then he wouldn't really be God. This question is kind of hard to answer.

Either way, I still vote yes, since frankly, it's not that hard to be better than me.

Given the rules you've mapped out, would God really be God anymore if he were in my shoes without any of his powers anymore? I say "no". Would he be any better of a human being than the rest of us? Probably. Until he has to deal with an airline who lost his baggage just once and then he'll become as jaded and cynical as the rest of us.

No, my point was: without intelligence, knowledge is useless.

God would have his knowledge but not the intelligence he had before to know what to do with it.

about the same.

next!
Yes, well, God invented male physiology in it's entirety, knows it inside and out better than even a man himself, whereas a Swedish Supermodel ****e can't really "know" what it's like to be a man...so I'd think if God were a Swedish Supermodel Prostitute, he'd give the hand jobs that were so good they'd kill you, from the pleasure.

If you take away the things that make God "GOD", then he's not God.

So then he'd be...

Well I guess where I'm going with this is "how can God judge us knowing he wouldn't be any better/worse if he were in our shoes?"
