Does Superman history have to follow Lois and Clark being a couple? :shr:
If Wonder Woman, or somehow Lana was brought back into the fold, would you guys be up in arms about this Superman story having him end up with a different woman?

:wow:

Not Wonder Woman pls

pls no

I will regurgitate the whole DC cinematic universe if that happens

To use WW as a love interest for any man considering its her introduction to the big screen is not something I would be comfortable with. I also think there would be plenty of backlash against using WW like that considering what Wonder Woman represents.

I'm talking about by the time this version of Superman is done. I'm not saying it would happen in BvS or one particular movie zyrson.

Clark and Lois are one of those classic pairings. DC always returns to it time and again, because Warner Bros knows its a pairing which works. Sure they will experiment time to time to try and get people talking (much like the badly characterized romance between Clark/Diana) but its not something which lasts for long.

I always just assume Clark and Lois will be together, but I wouldn't be opposed to something different as long as it's done well. Because of how MoS ended I feel they should be together for at least another movie. But if they give a good reason as to why they break up, I won't throw a fit. But if it's done as poorly as Spider-Man 3, well that's a different story.

As for Clark and Diana, I only read a little bit of the New 52 where they were together, but it seemed to make sense. As long as Wonder Woman isn't just downgraded to a love interest I don't see a problem.

we've seen Clark and Lois done a million times, would be cool to see them explore a Supes-WW relationship or something similar.

There's a reason why it's been done a millions time because their story is classic and timeless. I'd be p****d if they did it.

Short changing Amy Adams for Gal Gadot. :funny:

Even if Clark and Lois weren't a popular fictional couple, I have a hard time imagining on anyone with common sense wanting to replace Amy with Gal (nothing against her of course).

Heck, I'm willing to bet that one of the reasons why Marvel Studios went with keeping pairs like Tony and Pepper or Thor and Jane, despite the fact that those two couples don't really end up with each other in the comics after awhile...is because of the popularity that Paltrow and Natalie have in the industry at the time of their casting.

Plus, I just don't see this Clark giving Lois up. She was (in a way) the reason he found faith in humanity.

It would be a controversial decision. If I were going to do it, I would 1) explore their relationship over one or two more movies and 2) have Lois die of old age or something similar before allowing Superman to move on to another love interest. Such an approach has worked fine in the past.

I'd rather her not die. If they were to have Clark end up with another woman I'd want them to break up, just because (I don't think) they haven't had the hero break up.

If you broke them up, you'd essentially be mirroring the New 52 situation. It's easier to just kill her, I think. It takes away the false hope and there won't be as much whining.

I thought Superman/WonderWoman Volume 1 was pretty decent, so why the hell not? And was there any cbm movie where the love interest was another superhero? Watchmen? Now that I think about it, there are too many ordinary human love interests in this genre and it's gotten stale already.

If Clark mistreats Lois in any way I'll stop being a fan and stop supporting the DCCU franchise.

I stopped liking Smallville in Season 9 after they min draped Lois and wiped out her memories of Pandora.

For me, Clois is a major part of the fandom. It's a linchpin really. I'm also generally more interested in seeing superheroes interact with humans than in seeing superheroes only interacting with other heroes.

Yes, sadly.

Though the fans who'd care only make up a tiny portion of the audience.

If they kill Lois Lane there would be a huge uproar. Not just from the fans but those who enjoy classic pairings such as Clark and Lois.

If Lois died of old age, or was at least shown to have lived a relatively long and happy life with Clark, I think the fan base would be alright. If they can handle Superman snapping a guy's neck, they can handle a shakeup in his love life.

depends on who, if it was Lana or Diana.....then no since there are stories where he does end up with them anyway (not just the New 52 for Wonder Woman). But if say they made someone up who didnt exist in the source material that he'd fall madly in love with (example Rachel from the Dark Knight Trilogy) then yeah I'd be pissed off.

While I don't think it will happen, I think certain sections of fandom would be very upset. It's probably the same section who hate Snyder, don't like that Amy Adams has red hair and don't like that Fishburne is black.
