What style should the film have? Who should be the villain?
How should the two different characters meet? Can it be done in a believable way?

I liked "The Legion of Monsters" better when they were called Midnight Sons.

I could see Spidey/GR, but ideally my team-up movie for Spider-Man would be if the rights go back to Marvel, have a grittier, street-level crime drama with Spidey, Daredevil, and Punisher, with Spider-Man and Daredevil reluctantly having to team up with Punisher to take down Kingpin or something. While the overall tone and story would be dark, I would say definitely keep Spider-Man as "light" as possible to contrast, and show the severity of the situation.

Peter Parker and Dan Ketch have a lot in common:

They both live in New York
They both are teenagers (were at least in their origins)
They both struggle in their day jobs
They both have girlfriends who at first didn't know their alter ego

I think it would make for a great match up.

Ghost Rider will be mistaken for a villain. I mean, just look at him!
And Spider-Man goes up against him, at first. Not sure about the outcome of that fight.
Later on, each must help the other. But I guess they don't like each other that much, because of the differences.

I suppose it's a fun "What if?", but I can't see that ever happening or it ever being any good.

It'd have to be someone more of a threat than Venom, Spidey can take him alone.

I go with the whole a plague from Hell that comes to earth's surface, turning people into fast and murderous zombies, more dangerous than in 28 days later and the Snyder's Dawn of the Dead. .
That one, or Satan unleashing a unbelievable huge army of monsters and werevolves.
Or
A story that involves dark ancient magic, old enough to even predate Egypt. It could have something to do with a prophecy. And the strongest and deadliest thing to fight would be a giant mummy, tall as a building.

Everything sound like a b-movie cliché (zombies, demons from hell, werevolves, mummies). But I believe all three of my suggestions can be done in a different way than before, making each one of the concepts feel new and fresh.

Parker: "Yeah, what's the problem?" Blaze: "I need help fighting this thing, you don't look like much help." Parker: "Oh, I can help." Blaze takes a shot of whiskey. Blaze: "I'm hunting a VAMPIRE. Like in the movies. How's some kid who wears a Halloween costume every day supposed to help me?" Parker pours himself a shot & painfully downs it. Parker: "When do we start?" Blaze: "When do we start what?" Parker: "When do we start hunting this thing?" Blaze grins & pours Parker another shot. Blaze: "Drink up, kid. We got alot to cover before WE start hunting." Parker takes the shot & coughs up a lung.Blaze: "First thing's first. If you're gonna kill something, you oughtta know its name: Morbius." CUT TO BLACK

The Darkhold is the story to go by. Epic trilogy with new villains with every movie being aided by the evil power of the Darkhold. The final battle being between ghost rider, spiderman, jennifer Kale, and the darkhold redeemers vs the god killer and source of the corrupting power of the Darkhold and the Lillin.

I have been thinking that for some time now. The strange thing is that some people argument against it...
As long as that doesn't happen with Justice League for many years, I will be satisfied.

DC doesn't have as much bankable characters...they'll have to throw them all in one team from the Get go.

After this year's Amazing Spider-Man and the latest Ghost Rider, there's nothing that should hinder a movie with them both.
To make the two universes work together as one, we could even get the directors Mark Neveldine, Marc Webb and Brian Taylor to all be involved.

If only Sony are smart enough, if they see the potential...
But it depends very much on the financial outcome of Avengers.

I sincerely hope this never happens, as I want Sony to lose the rights to Ghost Rider so that Marvel can get him back and make a Midnight Sons movie with him, Dr. Strange, and Blade. But if it were to happen then there're only two choices for this, either Morbius as others have said, or Demogoblin.
