Cage wants Spidey/Ghost Rider Team up!

That sounds like cartoon material. Not Movie material. When it happenned in the comics, Spiderman gives Ghost Rider this huge lecture of being a 'hero.' No offense, if I hear another narration or monologue with tears by Peter Parker I'll shoot myself.

Heh, I don't suppose you've read Ghost Rider Vol. 2 #48 have you?

i wish i was super freakn rich. id make lil marvel movies for straight to dvd of crossovers n whatnot. like how they have cartoon dvds for whatever. cept itd be live action and of actual good quality. id have like GR vs Thor, GR vs Silver Surfer n whatnot. for a GR and Spidey crossover movie i like the idea of morbius n Dr. stranger. but id rather much see Hobgoblin in the mix. like the todd macfarlane issues of spiderman when he had GR come in and kick demo/hobgoblin's ass around.

I'd def pay to c GR vs. Thor or the Surfer, f'sho

DoomRulz,

C'mon man Midnight Sons would be cool too. If there is gonna be a cameo it should characters that fit that universe, Blade, Wolverine, Morbius, Dr. Strange...not a 20 something crybaby with Mary Jane problems. Like the Thor or Surfer though...but they don't got nothing on Ghost Rider ;)

I don't like the MS. I'm sorry, but it was that period when Vol. 2 went downhill. Everytime I think of them I think of the mess Dan Ketch and company became.

When was Wolverine a MS??

i think hes referring to the series when GR,punisher, and wolverine teamed up against blackheart. called hearts of darkness right? id rather movies didnt crossover with each other, cameoes are fine though i guess depending on how its done. only safe way i can think of for crossovers would be either in tv series or straight to video movies. but neither will prob happen, least not properly.

Oh yeah, HoD I have that...KICK ASS GRAPHIC NOVEL, ONE OF THE BEST. Castle, Logan, and Rider were a sweet team up. I never read the sequel though.

Yeah I was talking about Hearts of Darkness. Part 2 is more of the same (Blackheart never seems to learn his lesson because Ghost Rider, Punisher and Wolverine lay the smack down on him one more time) like part one except thats the issue where Mephisto gets killed by Blackheart.

I can see team ups in cameos and Animated series. I am still waiting for Ghost Rider to get the Japan treatment.

I recently saw Highlander: The Search for Vengeance, it was done by the team who brought Ninja Scroll, and it was freakin amazing. Check it out:

Mixed feelings about that...
Love that he wants to make the character darker... As he should have been.
But then why counter it by adding Spidey to the mix and goofing it up all over again?
So they proved that they couldn't get established villains right, and the solution is to make one from scratch?
That just seems like a mess waiting to happen.
Ok, so Scarecrow's been done, if he's got hundreds of GR comics, then he should know that there are some usable rogues!!!

Unholy Zarathos!
This a sweet Motorhead music to my ears...
Cage finally admit it the embarrassing mistakes of the first movie.
Says the legend that the "brilliant" Carpenters, jellybeans and karate monkeys was his ideas to the script.
And it´s very funny to think of him saying that avoided the hard drinker JB idea because of his nightmares. He, who appears to be completely wasted on the Comic Con GR panel.
Ironic...
Well, so bring on the TRUE dark GR for a second ride.
We await.

PS: GR/Spidey?
No thanx.
An animated Midnight Sons or a GR guest on the next Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon?
For sure!
PS2:No good GR villains for the sequel?
Blackout? Skinner? Scarecrow ( Ebeneezer Laughton, not Jonathan Crane, ok sir? )? Lilith? Vengeance, come on?!
Shame on you, Mr.Cage.
Shame on you.

Seriously though, how hard can it be to bring some of these characters to life... I don't even want to contemplate what they'd invent...

A spidey GR team up... no, GR just wants some of Spideys fame, why didn't he ask for a DareDevil or Elektra team up

... GR was a bit dissapointing for me, I must say I really didn't think there'd be a sequel, but if they must hope it's much better

ARRRRRRRRRRRG NO DAN KETCH VILLAINS PUHLEEEEEEAAAZZE

What they will most likely do is get a villain most likely from the Dan Ketch series, mix his powers with another villain and create a new villain with one of their names.

It would make sense given their track record:

JB's looks is a mix of JB and Dan Ketch

Ghost Rider's bike is a mix of a Harley (pre-transformation) and Vengeance's bike (Post transformation)

Blackheart and Mephisto both had the power to take out lights and suck the light out of a specific area like Blackout. Blackheart sucked the life out of his victims like Deathwatch and Styge.

Caretaker was a mix of Caretaker and the Original Ghost Rider, Carter Slade.

When it comes to this movie, they mix and match everything, only natural for them to do it for a sequel villain.

No I havent..but I did read the Volume 3 Spiderman Ghost Rider crossover with Hobgoblin. Spiderman has no right to give GR a lecture about heroism, he needs to kneel down and kiss his feet.

I see. Spidey gives the hero lecture to Vengeance of all people :oldrazz:

I could do without Vengeance, at least right away.
It'll fall too much in the pattern of Spidey/Venom, IronMan/IronMonger... It gets repetitive, although it does work.

Ghost Rider vs Armies of Lilith: They can make the Lilin similar to a fraternity that has common jobs, common positions across the country. They perfectly meld into common society but you don't know who is a Lilin and who isn't..sometimes they have forgotten themselves and have to 'reminded' ie. Skinner.

When Lilith reawakens they have to destroy their families (under the right director this can be very memorable as some Lilith refuse to fight and have to make a choice in the end) and take up their position in the armies of Lilith and wage war against Ghost Rider. At the same time, Ghost Rider is facing off against John Blaze for control of his body while the Spirit of Vengeance takes over more and more, as he prepares to assault the armies of Lilith. Mind blowing balls to walls, hellblazing, motorcycle death dealing, explosive action and suspense. Write it, direct it, film it, send me a check.

You're right. It's a damn shame too, Vengeance was the best GR villain ever IMO.

Good brainstorm Midnyte, and yah, Vengeance was awesome.
Well... I guess these doppleganger type villains are always expected... Cuz they take aspects of our favourite characters, and just make them more badass!

Awesome interview. I think Nic gets it, must have heard the fans of :ghost: !!
The darker version is needed, ramp it to a R rating if need to. Scarecrow is a real wicked villian, I would do him the same but rename him for the movie, that way the reg folk don't confuse him with Batman's villian by name.

I think Nic's version of JB is a blend of both Blaze and Ketch so I don't care about what villian is used, just make them cooler than the comic version. A Marvel team up sounds very cool but with Spidey? Too soon, let GR do the darker movie solo. Spidey does fit the PG crowd, it's like Teaming him up with the Punisher. Not going to work currently, great in the comics. If Marvel wants to revamp the Blade hero, he would be cool to team up with GR. Though they need to find a guy with Snipes charisma, not some RAPPER!

Anyway, I would love to see another Ghost Rider movie, make it happen Nic and Sony and Marvel!

DK2099 :brucebat:

yeah
spidey vs gr? no thanks. avp? makes sense. freddy vs jason? makes sense. but ghost rider versus spidey? *****. just *****!

The best way to bring Spidey and GR into a movie together is to use DemoGoblin. Have it where Osborn is brought back from the dead or something. But I don't see this happening as much as I would love it. There was talks of a DD/Spidey crossover with Affleck and Tobey but it never worked out. But a cameo would be nice though.
