Yeah, SHIELD might get more stuff done, but Frank wouldn't be able to politick his way out of problems like Fury did for decades. He'd be ousted pretty quickly.

What if the Void attacked and the Sentry didn't stop him?..

I envision some sweet buildup followed by a massive army of superhumans going against the void (who would show up first in his dark hurricane form a la the first mini-series).

This would be followed by a massive number of hero deaths before the climactic finish.

Not sure what the finish should be. To stay consistent with previous Sentry stories perhaps it would be someone reaching Bob reynolds in the psychological sense. (since no one has defeated the void physically yet other than sentry).

That's what I was thinking with pete joining the X-Men. Him, Hank and Forge working on projects would also be all sorts of cool.

I assumed they would have in that it seems like a natural idea given his parents' history as SHIELD agents.
