If you loved someone deeply knowing he/she had aids would you sleep with them

how is it silly? im talking about a disease thats not heridatory, AIDS- its a virus not an heridatory disease. and your knowingly giving it to your child. your a very crappy father. if i was your kid I'll ****in hate you. the second part of argument is lame, you dont even know my family tree, so how the hell are you going to say crap like that. so far i have sickle cell trait. which is neither deadly to me nor my children, i just have to be careful not to have a patner with the trait, or else i risk by passing the most damaing part of sickle cell to her. which is something i dont plan on doing, even if i did find someone i really loved with the trait I rather adopt, then bring a kid that would suffer and end up taking drugs for most of her/his life.
right, let's get this straight.

HIV is a virus, not Aids.

Secondly the virus can be passed on from parents to siblings thus making it a possible heridatory case in this instance, correct?

Now you assume i'm a crappy father for not wanting for bringing someone into this world which may or may not have the HIV virus present but you don't see yourself as potentially being a crappy husband for not giving your wife a child simply because of fears of sickle cell. How is your view any better than mine?

if you don't believe you have what it takes to raise a child, no matter what condition it is in when you give birth to it, then you shouldn't be thinking about having a child at all.

:o

as for the family tree argument, odds are in my favour, i'm most probably right simply on judging on how complex such matters are in one instance then multiplying them through every instance in history that has got you to where you are today now.

if you were my child, i would hate you to. Bringing a child into existence into a loved family that hates itself because i decided that the benefits of the experiences of life far outweigh any challenges that might be put before it.

There are plenty of people that can't have children that would give their arm for their own flesh and blood and there you are saying others shouldn't based on an assumption of what it feels like to have a condition that YOU have never experienced while both parents do.

ha, considering you used to be the doctor of fear, it seems to me that it is still your master....

I would never knowingly sleep with anybody who has a sexual disease of any kind.

seeing as even your own hand will never knowingly get involved in sexual actitity with you, i doubt thats an issue

Indeed.I would not want to,AIDS is still a death sentence. Its the uncurable virus.

lets put it this way...if my g/f had AIDS and still knowingly would let me/wanted me to sleep with her knowing full well the probable consequences...i'd tell her how f#cked up it was.

love doesn't factor into this...stupidity and lust are the factors here...you don't need sex to be in love.

Maybe almost possibly if it was a less fatal STD, but not AIDs. And vasectomy or tube tying would be a definite necessity either way.

Protection doesn't work that well. You'd still have a decent (I read it a while ago, so this figure may be off) chance, 5-10%, of contracting a disease.

Maybe my figure was a bit high, but condoms aren't 100%.

If the thing you're protecting against is HIV, that's not worth the risk for me.

I'd sleep in the same bed with her, but I wouldn't **** her
