How would you handle this?

When my dad died my brother's eulogy at the funeral included anecdotes of some of the more strange, weird and funny things my dad did. We were crying and laughing at the same time. It was a great funeral. My dad would have loved it. It helped us all deal with his loss.

That said, if someone offends you, just say, "I'm offended" and walk away. You'll show more class that way.

Punching someone for being a *****e is the best medicine. Never done it...but i'm saving up for the moment.

I've always felt that not really punishing someone for being disresepctful, offensive, or whatever you want to call it, is pretty much the same as telling them, "It's OK for you to act that way, and I am perfectly willing to let you get away with it." I just feel that people like that need to be put in their place.

Agreed. They'll never learn their lesson if you don't. :o

I would look at them with tear filled eyes and turn around then walk away. I would be much too sad over the death to feel anger. I only would feel deep grief. Hopefully, the reaction would cause the inconsiderate *person* to be seen as a fool and to know it, as well. Grief is not a joking matter. :(

This doesn't happen very often. Punching someone isn't going to solve a whole lot. I tend to make jokes about their dead loved ones, and I usually throw in some sort of inference that their dead loved ones probably molested them and that's why they have so much anger toward dead people. It usually works.
