I wouldn't be at all disappointed if Smith were cast. However it's not gonna happen. He's about to do Tonight, He Comes. I doubt Smith wants in two dark and dramatic super hero pictures.

Isn't Smith doing I am Legend as well? Rgeardless I'm glad chances are he will not be cast as Dent.

I would have to think that if it's gonna be a big name....Nolan and producers will look at a younger version of Dent around Bales age. I think one of these four will be chosen between DiCaprio, Phoenix, Gyllenhall and Law.

Whitaker would make a dynamite Bullock if they were colorblind casting that role. Dent? Not so much.

Winstone is an awful actor. One trick pony.

James Gandolfini would be a much better Bullock.

And if he were younger (and taller) Bob Hoskins in Eddie Valiant mode could have been an excellent Bullock.

Oh man he would be the most mis-cast actor in history if he got that part. Great actor, but not Harvey Dent.

Yeah. Lets face it - nobody has a clue and the speculation is getting a little boring. As long as the guy can act, I won't complain.

I think he's very good actor and I seen Sexy Beast he's great in it but I never seen him do American accent like Bale or Oldman so I'm not sure if he could pull off Det. Harvey Bullock.

I have seen Sexy Beast and Kingsley stole every scene he was in (albiet overacting).

He also can't do an American accent, which should rule him out for the character.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Cast Ray Liotta. He may be getting up there in his years, but he is still young enough and keep in mind, Dent is the district attorney of one of America's major cities, he isn't going to be a young guy. And Liotta would play it to a T.

Bullock and Flass are two different characters. Flass was a corrupt cop of Gotham City. In the comics he was Gordon's first partner. He was killed by The Hangman during Dark Victory.

Bullock is a detective in the GCPD Major Crimes Unit. Despite being shady, he is a good cop. He is most comparable to Vic Mackey from The Shield. He dislikes and disapproves of Batman.
