Images in Signatures

We can have Youtube MOVIES but we can't have a picture like the one I posted above? Yeah, That makes sense.

It does actually, YT vids don't take up any SHH bandwidth or slow pages down, once a person clicks on the YT link they are using YT's bandwidth not SHH's.

Why don't you let it be images from an image uploading service like Photobucket. You'll be using their bandwidth and not SHH's

Because lazy people would just hotlink, and then their signature would be that stupid frog pic, if not straight out porn.

Most forums allow users to choose if they see the sigs or not... it's the users choice. In another forum when I had very low bandwith I said "no don't show them", now that I have a larger bandwidth I said "yes, I want to see them". That option plus limiting the size (to say 480x150) could really help...

but you can't hotlink images when there is a certain file size limit involved.

this is another good aspect! - people can chose not to see images in sigs so both sides win.
