I think my dad just thinks it's dumb lol. I think I've caught him getting a chuckle out of it once or twice though, at least
TruTV will resume production on Season 9 of the unscripted comedy series next month, which seems almost impossible to shoot during the pandemic, since it normally involves close-up interactions with strangers.
Gatto says almost half the episodes were filmed before things shut down, and that remaining ones will be “produced in a different way.”
“You won’t see us in supermarkets or parks approaching strangers anymore,” he says. “They’ll all be produced, which you’ve seen on our show, in focus groups or with people in waiting rooms, or one-on-one interviews. Those kind of challenges are what we’ll move towards. So it’ll be more controlled. We can social distance and take temperatures when people come in.
“They’re working out all the locations now, but we always have filmed in the Tri-State area, so we’ll just stay with that,” he adds. “I think we won’t be in the city as much, just because of the way of the world right now.”
That's bonkers. I even thought the new season was due out this month?
Ooh I can't wait. Curious to see how the pranks and setup will have worked around the covid situation.Yeah, the S8 premiere is tonight.
I must admit, for a premiere episode, I didn't find this one that great... I hope the pranks (etc) get better as the season goes on. I'm not sure when it was filmed either but social distancing and the wearing of masks weren't factored into this episode at all. Surely it couldn't have been pre pandemic?
Prince Herb.
Return of the Prince is tonight can't wait. Although they should've made him change his name to Dr. Shrimp Puerto Rico.
