Now before you look at the thread title and think im a nut I just had an idea.

If Harry does become the next Green goblin it would be kinda repetitive if he was the same as the first goblin but just with better equipment.

In the ultimate universe Green goblin becomes a monster im not sure about harry just yet I aint got that far.

But does anyone think it would be better to have him a large monster type creature instead or not.

If venom is "In" the movie 2 monsters would be too much the same but if he isnt then I think he should take that appearence.

Although I Do Give You Credit For The Idea.

I think not. Harry does become a monster in the Ultimate universe, but that's because his father did, too.

I think he should definitely have a different costume, but overall, it won't be a problem. Why? Because Harry is an idiot - he's not HALF the man his father was, so it stands to reason he won't be HALF the villain the first Green Goblin was. He won't be a main villain, he won't be a terribly difficult threat, he will be there to cause emotional anguish for Peter/Spidey. He'll drunkenly crash into a few buildings and steal a few old ladies' purses, but he won't be a copy of Green Goblin by any means. Keep him human.

A) because, as you said, it'd be too similar to Venom
B) It's not consistant with what the first movie established about the Goblin serum.

An idea that was brought up ages ago? :down

Please edit instead of double-posting small sentences, Crash.

You see, not many people actually like the Ultimate Goblin (AKA poor man's Hulk). So, don't believe for a second we're going to see that on film.

Oh, and gamemiester: In USM, Harry does become the Hobgoblin, a big a$$ orange monster. :down

Indeed - they turned the Goblin from a crazed but intelligent villain into a barely-controllable animal - they stripped away the essence of his personality! I'm a huge fan of the Ultimate comics, but I think they could have done better by Goblin.

The whole Hobgoblin arc was a mess.

Why whats so bad about it
The way it was handled was just really weak. I think it's like four or five parts, but the first three or four are just endless "MJ/Harry/Peter talk" and then the battle.

Well, like someone mentioned, they turned the Goblins from criminal masterminds to drooling Hulk copies. Instead of planning plots and running schemes, they'd pop themselves with chemicals, mutate into green, horny freaks, and run rampant through the city shooting fireballs out of their hands until they were gunned down by authorities.

No....no one is stupid enough to even think of puting monsters in the movie. Venom will not be a monster.

Yeah that's all we need,Bendis' lame ideas getting into the movies.Bad enough we're getting Venom-lite,but a Goblin monster too??

No thanks :down

Well mentally speaking the Green Goblins are monsters cuz they are greedy selfish evil people who think nothing of hurting others to further their own agendas. So in that way they are as much MONSTERS as Hitler was.

But if this thread is talking about physical appearance then I would have to respond in the negative. It is most likely that Harry will use Norman's formula and get the same powers and seeing as Norman had no physical changes the odds are that Harry won't either (about 99% sure but hey you never know)
