Haha, I recently picked up the Blu-Ray for my new player. This was the first time I noticed that the Hulk whispers "Leave me alone" in the bottling plant. It made me happy.

That was a great line, wasn't it? Classic Hulk. And the Blu-Ray is just AWESOME, isn't it?!

I viewed the film over the holidays at a friend's home and he has Blu-Ray. The details picked up in alot of the Hulk's shots were absolutely staggering. I found things that I couldn't pick up on my regular set.

I've got to upgrade one of these days soon...

so does any1 know what the br/dvd's total sales are/were?

and d you think it's enough to warrant a sequel?

(cuz i need hulk 2 & hulk in avengers.)

^^And I believe the sales of the Blue Ray version was unexpectedly strong.

i guessed more. but hopefully it did well enough to get a sequel. i mean, that plus the worldwide total is over $320,000,000. and that's over 2x it's budget.

plus if they do a sequel the franchise will have escaped the shadow of ang lee's version, and make allot more money. i mean, look at what happened to batman?

idk, i just really wanna see a tih2, but maybe I'm just setting myself up for disappointment.:csad:

Your not the only one hoping for a sequel. Im hoping it'll get the green light after Avengers is out.

I'm hoping for a sequel as well. TIH is one of my favorite superhero/monster/whatever movies of all time, and it deserves a sequel. I guarantee if we had gotten TIH in '03 instead of Ang Lee's movie we'd be talking about what we want for the third movie.

But how can you guarantee that when Ang's movie made comparatively the same money at the BO and possibly more on DVD than TIH did?

I love Angs movie more but I liked TIH, but Ang's movie had no bearing on TIH, if the word of mouth on TIH had been as strong as some people make out, its BO takings and especially DVD sales would have been higher than they are now. I want a TIH sequel too, but I just dont think its made enough money. If Marvel do make one, it'll be a financial risk for sure.

maybe, but remember it had a smaller opening than angs version, and word of mouth is what brought in enough movie goers for it to surpass angs in total box office earnings.

but anyway, i don't need whole trilogy of hulk movies. just 1 more to tie it up. (maybe put the grey hulk in there somewhere at some point in the movie due to the leaders interference w/ the hulks DNA.) it be kinda nice if it ended w/ the hulk getting a cure. but we definitely need 1 more. I mean TIH is like 1 of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. (joining the ranks of movies like starwars, raiders of the lost ark, iron man, lotR:RotK and TDK.)

idk, but the lack of hulk 2 confirmation disturbs me.:boba:

I think it'd be better to continue the franchise and keep everyone on board, because another reboot will hinder their success, not help it.

To be honest, I think it is better for a Hulk sequel to come after the Avengers, because we all know the Avengers is going to be a big movie, so that will be big exposure for the character, and will help the momentum of a TIH 2.

I thought it was common knowledge that if THI 2 was gonna happen that it would be after the Avengers movie. Marvel has more then enough on there plate to worry about let alone adding another hero flick into the mix

It is common knowledge, but I've talked to many people on other boards who are stating that the next movie should come before the Avengers flick. If that happens it'll end up being rushed, and won't be nearly as good as the first movie.

Exactly, if they added TIH2 then they now need to rush into production an the script as well as the film would hurt badly from it. Not to mention theyd have to alter any plans/story ideas that were already made for the Avengers flick. We'll get are dose of Hulk in the Avengers movie and hopefully not to long after that his own sequel.

Agreed, I think patience is the key. We are lucky he's going to even be in the Avengers movie, and I think that's enough for now. I like Marvel's plan, actually. Establish all of the major players in the Avengers by giving them their own movie, and then worry about most of the sequels after the fact.

Comparatively, and adjusted for inflation, they made pretty much the same, so the word of mouth didnt do anything. Dude, its also sold less DVD's than the likes of FF2, Superman Returns (a movie I love but it wasnt that successful) and Ghost Rider at this point, they are poor.

^Don't forget about Blue Ray though. Sales for Blue Ray were better than expected and this may account for the apparent drop in DVD sales. We don't know what the sales are for Blue Ray.

I think TIH did quite well in sales....sure, the movie itself didn't truly break even at the box office, but when the DVD was first released, it was selling like mad.

I liked this movie and just recently watched all the deleted scenes that were on both discs. I have to say I'm really, really disappointed that they cut out the Leonard Samson scenes from the movie. I thought they were important because naturally one would have to wonder what his reaction would be to his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend reappearing.

But instead, we get no reaction from him in the movie, we see Betty sleeping by herself but it's not explained and his character just virtually disappears from the movie. With as little screentime as he received, they might as well have just cut him out entirely. It made no sense to have him around for two scenes and then not see what Banner's impact was on Betty and Samson's relationship and his feelings to Banner's reappearance.

Plus, I thought those scenes gave this movie more heart. I really enjoyed the personal scenes between these characters, I thought it helped flesh them out more and made you care even more for them. When watching this movie for the first time in the theater, while I enjoyed it, I felt it was still missing something underneath. And these scenes were it! The dinner scene, the orchid, although small scenes, went a long way for me in making me feel for Banner. All these scenes made such a difference for me, it's really a shame they were cut out.

Also, I much prefer the alternate scene of General Ross going into more detail explaining the super soldier program and Banner's experiments(testing cell resistance through radiation and testing on himself through a low dose of radiation only because funding was running out). The way we get it in the movie makes Banner seem to be reckless and somewhat cocky in just testing on himself because he was so sure it would work(without a mention of low funding).

I also would have liked to have the few lines of dialogue kept where Banner and Betty Ross return to Culver University and they talk about what exactly they were trying to accomplish and how foolish their mindset may have been. Those small touches go a long way for me. Still a good movie but had all these scenes been in the final edit of the movie, I would have no problem putting it right alongside Iron Man in its quality, as it stands now, it's a notch below. I truly wish a director's cut existed that incorporated those scenes into the movie. :csad:

I couldn't have said it better myself. Agreed on all points (except I enjoyed TIH more than IM, regardless).

I liked the "Fire" speech by General Ross. Pity it was cut.
