I have not seen the deleted scenes, but it sounds like there's a lot of important stuff in some of them that would have been good for the movie. I thought the movie was great as it was, although it would be even better with a bit more character development.

^There was too little character and exposition in the movie definately, and some of those deleted scene's were great, especially with the character moments, and with them being put back in the movie it would elevate it greatly.

Do you guys want me to show you how to find the deleted scenes on your blu-ray? I can't believe you guys think you have to "hunt" for them. :whatever:

The only reason I hope this is true is so it will get Edward Norton to stop acting like a big baby and like he's running the show so he can reprise his role again without dispute.

Dragging an old thread up here. I bought the special edition DVD and watched it tonight, thought it was pretty good. TBH none of the deleted scenes really made a big dent story-wise, but I did prefer the alternate opening scene which was included in the bonus section. After re-watching the film, I also thought I should say that I think this is a vastly under-rated film. All the performances were good, the romance between Betty and Bruce was much more real than the Eric Bana/Jennifer Connelly version, and the special effects were much better than the Ang Lee version IMO. And I felt the story was much better paced and easier to follow than the first film - more linear, more of a climax, better character arcs. I know it's not on a par with the likes of Iron Man, but will any Hulk film ever be? The Hulk - as a character - is fundamentally flawed because there's nothing for us to like about him other than the pure rage which only serves to entertain us. I felt this film was really the very best that could be done with a Hulk movie, and I felt Edward Norton got the tone of it just right.

Really? I thought the CGI in TIH was mediocre at best.

My complaint with the alternate opening was unless you use slow mo you can't see Captain America. For me it's great that they included it but I could care less that it's not in the film.

The alternate opening is good because it shows that Bruce is ready to end his life to get rid of the beast. Alot of inner turmoil is shown during the scene, can be pretty powerful stuff

Yup have to say I thought the CGi wasn't bad at all, and much more realistic than the rubber looking Hulk in Ang Lee's version

I agree with you that the cgi was mostly good throughout TIH (some spots suffered from a rushed production). The problem here is that in the pictures above you compare the TIH hulk with probably the most realistic looking hulk from Ang's movie. :cwink:

In Norton's first draft that scene was much darker. It had Banner putting the gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger which cut the scene to black with the sound of a gunshot. The scene then resumed from black with a shot of Hulk's hand and hearing him spit the bullet out and crushing it leading to the glacier being destroyed.

Haha! That still from Ang Lee's Hulk is stunning CGI; everything is perfect and it is hard to believe it is from 2003 and looks photo real! Shame that the rest of the CGI in the film didn't match this.

Sorry, but the photo from the 2003 movie looks more realistic than ANY of the TIH pictures you posted.
