No.
I'm indifferent to things like this because stuff like this happens all the time. Maybe there's not a ton of chain-smoking toddlers out there, but children being endangered and neglectful parents are nothing new and are everywhere, despite what people like to think.
To put it bluntly, **** happens, that's life. People kill each other and themselves. Children go hungry or die of diseases, both curable and incurable. Small social groups are persecuted and eliminated because of arbitrary differences from the majority. Animals kill and eat each other. The environment is changing in a multitude of ways, sudden and gradual, violent and peaceful. The world isn't this happy little place where everything is wonderful, but everything I mentioned doesn't discount all the good things in life either. You take the good with the bad and vice versa, and despite what you might have me think, being indifferent to a neglected child half a world away doesn;t make me a bad person.
Bravo! Especially what's in bold. The funny thing is most of the people who act like it does make someone a bad person aren't doing **** to help those countries and their poor out. If you're going to judge others of that view then become one of those people who travel the world building missions and whatnot. I forget the exact name or title but I knew of a few people who did this for awhile.
